Built for WoW Chat

WoWChatTranslator is not intended to be a generic sentence translator. Its terminology and translation logic are specifically designed around real World of Warcraft chat.

Common examples include:

LFG, LFM, LF, WTS, WTB, SR, MS, OS, HR, BoE, GS, iLvl, class/spec abbreviations, dungeon shortcuts and many other common expressions.

The project is continuously improved using real-world TBC chat patterns and community terminology.

Current Development

WoWChatTranslator is currently in Beta.

The translation database and language handling are actively being expanded and improved. During the beta period, some messages may still be translated only partially or may remain unchanged when the addon cannot confidently determine the intended meaning.

Community feedback and real in-game examples are especially useful for improving the terminology database and translation quality.
