World of Tools 1.0.9

A big update before launch: Gear + tells you clearly what is an upgrade, Whisper + learns long whispers and links, the Holo Map shows your quests and gathering nodes, Map ∞ names every town and district, and Backpack + can split its sections.

Gear +

• Clearer tooltips: Upgrade, About the same or Worse with the percent and the scale, and a vs. line with the item it replaces. Hold Shift for the score and the stats that make the difference
• A new compare window: type /wot compare or Shift + click items to see yours and the new one side by side, with a verdict at the top and every stat sorted by how much it matters
• A one-hand weapon or an off-hand while you hold a two-hander is compared together with the best partner in your bags, and an off-hand weapon counts half its damage
• Paladins, shamans and druids get a small line for their other role, and Gear + tells you once when your gear looks like another role
• Arrows and percent on the loot roll window, the best upgrade marked in your bags, a gear score on the character panel and leveling weights below the top level
• Hit above 9% no longer counts, and effects the score cannot read are marked
• If you use an item scoring addon, Integrations has a page to use its scales in Gear + or copy them. Scale texts from simulators can be pasted in /wot score > Import

Whisper +

• Long whispers are split into up to four messages with one Enter, and Shift + click puts item, spell and quest links in the reply box
• Day labels, a New messages line, clickable web links and your name highlighted in group chats
• The reply box counts accented letters right, whispers are not lost in long boss fights, the list stays where you scroll, Send now never sends by itself and the window no longer opens in combat or in dungeons

Holo Map

• Quest areas of the quests you follow and track, quest objectives, gathering nodes and every kind of NPC, with a checklist in the settings to choose what it shows
• In caves and mines it zooms to fit the place you are in

Map ∞

• Town, village and place names show as you zoom in, city districts when you zoom into a capital, and the place under the mouse

Backpack +

• Split sections: equipment by slot or armor type, consumables by type, trade goods by material and recipes by profession, each with its own fold. Off by default, in Backpack + > Bag window
• A new item stays in New until you close the bags, even when a bind warning pops up

Node +

• New look: item icons from the first time you see a node, a slim ring style, special rings for tin and iron, red nodes above your skill, grey nodes in caves and twinkling sparkles. Works with the controller interface too

Fixes

• No more Lua errors in the game menu and in the chat after the latest game update, and the World of Tools button in the game menu hides during fights
• Fixed a blocked action caused by the Backpack + footer during fights, and the marks bar on Map ∞ sits by your icon again
