Description
WarbandStandings
One clean window for everything your warband owns, earns, and unlocks — gold, currencies, reputations, lockouts, every gathering spot your characters have ever found, every item they're holding, every quest they've touched, and every book they've read.
WarbandStandings tracks your whole account the way the game should: log in on a character once, and it joins the warband picture forever. Built for Midnight (12.0+) with the native Blizzard look — dark panels, gold trim, class colors everywhere — and a strictly non-combat design that is untouched by the Midnight addon restrictions.
Currency & Gold
- Every character's gold at a glance, plus the Warband Bank and a live warband total — always visible in the footer.
- Live server amounts for warband-transferable currencies: select any transferable currency and see every character's current amount — including characters that have never logged in with the addon. Transfers refresh both sides within a second, and warband totals never double-count.
- Live rows carry a teal "live" tag; snapshot rows warn when they may be stale from playing on another machine.
- Characters from another WoW license on your Battle.net account are clearly marked — the addon tells you why their details can't be read instead of showing blanks.
Reputation
- All factions grouped the way the game actually treats them: warband-wide (teal) and character-specific (gold), driven by live API flags — never hardcoded lists.
- A rank-aware progress ladder for every system: Classic standings, Renown (condensed for 25+ levels), and named Friendship ranks.
- See your best character per faction by default, or click any character row to view exactly where that alt stands and how far to max.
- Expansion filter and instant search on every tab.
Lockouts
- Raids and dungeons across every expansion, with numbered boss circles showing exactly which bosses each character has killed this lockout.
- World Bosses as first-class citizens: orange entries pinned atop each expansion, weekly kills tracked per character — including kills made in the open world, the moment they happen.
- Kills are recorded live as you play and cross-checked against the server's saved-instance list, so runs made before you installed the addon still count.
- Every difficulty an instance supports gets its own section, an AVAILABLE list shows which characters are eligible to run it, and extended lockouts are labeled.
- Legacy farming friendly: from current Mythic raids down to 40-player classics, one view answers "who can still run this today?"
Gather
- Records every gathering location as you play — herbs, ore, fishing, lumber, skinning, chests, archaeology and more — with pins on the world map and a dedicated zone-map panel. Pin size, density, icon style, and provenance filters are all adjustable.
- Bundled location dataset: over 190,000 known gathering locations ship with the addon. Open ESC → Options → AddOns → WarbandStandings → Gather and click Import — your maps populate with a live progress bar. Safely re-runnable, cleanly removable from the same page, and your own finds are never touched. (Dataset import is currently available on English game clients; your own gathering records normally in every language.)
- The warband owns the location, the character owns the loot: every item shows who has looted it, who holds how many right now (live bags, login snapshots, and the Warband Bank), and each character's professions with skill levels at a glance.
- Today's loots appear as colored blips on the minimap, and the sidebar groups your finds by expansion or by continent — your choice.
Holdings
- Every item your warband owns, in one searchable inventory — from a single character's bags to the deepest corner of everyone's bank. Browse by expansion or continent, filter by item category or rarity, and search by name.
- The warband owns the item, the character owns the copy: each item shows how many the warband holds right now (live bags, login snapshots, and the Warband Bank), exactly which characters are carrying it, its sell price, and full in-game tooltip details — with gear tracked per item level, so a 58 and a 220 version of the same piece are counted separately.
- Provenance built in: for anything WarbandStandings has seen drop, Holdings remembers where it came from. Select an item to open a side map marking its drop spots, plus a "Dropped by" list of the creatures that drop it — color-coded for rare, elite, and boss — each with a live, drag-to-rotate 3D model.
- Vendor-trash at a glance: poor-quality junk is flagged with a coin marker, so you can see what's safe to sell.
QuestBook
- Every quest your warband has touched, tracked across all your characters: see who has completed a quest, who is still on it, and who has not started — all marked from your current character's point of view.
- History lists every quest any of your characters has engaged, grouped and instantly searchable by name or ID; bookmark the quests and questlines you care about into your own groups.
- A map for any quest — where it starts, where it turns in, and every objective — with numbered pins and shaded area outlines when an objective spans several spots. Quests that cross zones (a chain that begins in each capital) offer a pull-down to jump between every map they touch.
- Quest text — summary, description, and objectives — ships in a bundled dataset covering tens of thousands of quests and fills in further as you play, with a copyable Wowhead link one click away.
- Add what's missing by hand: your own start, turn-in, and objective locations. Collected facts (witnessed or datamined) stay locked, and only your manual entries are editable — so the addon's data and your own notes never overwrite each other.
- Faction (Alliance / Horde / Neutral) is tracked per quest, and an "Other Characters" panel shows every alt who has the selected quest done or in progress.
Bookshelf
- Every readable your warband comes across — books, letters, notes, plaques, scrolls — tracked by which characters have read what.
- Browse and search the full catalogue; open any entry to read its pages, filled from a bundled dataset of thousands of readables and captured from your own characters' reading as it happens.
- Where a readable is found is marked on the map, and you can add your own locations by hand alongside the ones the addon already knows.
The Warband Data Engine
Each character joins the warband picture with a short one-time routine — after that, everything stays current automatically, with no re-tours after addon updates, ever:
- Log in once — captures the character sheet: level, item level, spec, professions, equipment, bag contents, gold, currencies, reputations, lockouts, completed quests, Mythic+ rating, and Great Vault progress.
- Open your bank once — captures that character's personal bank contents.
- Open each profession book once — captures full per-expansion skill ladders and every learned recipe (yes, including the Angler's Log).
- The Warband Bank only needs one character on the whole account to open it once — it is shared, so that single visit covers everyone, and it refreshes automatically whenever anyone banks.
Everything re-syncs on its own from then on: bag changes, skill-ups, gear swaps, vault progress, quests as you accept and turn them in, readables as you open them — all captured live as they happen. /wbs scan runs a full manual rescan on demand.
Design principles
- Native look & feel — Blizzard templates and art references throughout; it feels like part of the game.
- Honest data — counts mean what they say. Imported locations are never confused with your own finds; "Gathered 12 times" means your warband looted it 12 times. Datamined quest and book facts stay separate from anything you add by hand.
- Event-driven — no background polling, no combat interaction, no performance tax.
- Self-contained — no external libraries, no companion services, nothing to configure before it works.
Getting started
Everything opens from the minimap button: click to toggle the window, drag to place the button anywhere around the minimap ring — it stays where you put it, and it can be hidden in Options if you prefer slash commands.
Commands:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/wbs |
Toggle the WarbandStandings window |
/wbs scan |
Run a full data rescan of the current character, with a verification summary in chat |
/wbs gather import |
List the available location-data import sources, or run one directly with /wbs gather import <source> |
/wbs gather density |
Adjust map pin density from the command line (kept in sync with the Options slider) |
Options live under ESC → Options → AddOns → WarbandStandings, with a settings page per module.
Snapshots are stored per machine — if you play on several computers, per-character rows may show a stale-data warning until that character logs in on that machine.
