VoidMap
The world map in a window of its own: everything Blizzard's map does, in the Void look, with your quests beside it.
VoidMap gives the world map its own window. You keep the full navigation, the filters, the zoom, and every pin from Blizzard and from your other addons. The window, the buttons and the quest list are VoidMap's own.
Same map, new window
- World / Continent / Zone navigation across the top. Click a level to go there, or click its arrow to pick another map at that level. A Floor picker shows up on maps with levels (dungeons, cities)
- Filter and Pin: Blizzard's own map filters (quest objectives, levels, tracked items and the rest) and map-pin placement, in VoidMap's toolbar
- Zoom buttons, plus the mouse wheel and drag to pan as usual
- Every pin stays: quests, flight paths, dungeon entrances, rares, and the pins of your other map addons
- M, L and Esc work as always
Your quests beside the map
- On this map first: the quests whose objectives are on the map you're looking at. Then the rest of your log under its zones
- Coloured by level, with progress on the right and a mark on the quest you're tracking
- Hover for the objectives (and the quest lights up on the map), click to read the whole quest (objectives, full text, rewards, with Track, Share and Abandon), ctrl-click to track it, shift-click to link it in chat, right-click to stop tracking it
- The arrow tab on the map's right edge (or the Quests button) folds the list away, like Blizzard's map
Your window, your way
- Drag the title bar to move it; drag the corner to size it. The map keeps its shape, so it always fills the window
- Big fills most of the screen, Small goes back to your size
- Scale and map opacity (see the world through the map), Blizzard's fade while moving
- Coordinates for you and the cursor at the bottom
Trails (for VoidGPS)
- VoidMap records the paths you walk and ride (not flying, taxis, boats or instances), for all your characters. VoidGPS will use them to plan walking routes around mountains and cliffs instead of in straight lines
- The count is at the bottom right of the map. It stays on your computer, and you can turn it off in Settings
Settings
- The Settings button on the map, the Void hub icon by the minimap, or
/vmap. Settings are per character
Compatibility
- WoW 12.1.5 (Midnight Season 2) and WoW Forever
- Standalone: nothing else to install
- Works in combat: the world map has no protected parts, so the window never blocks an action
- With TomTom, VoidMap hides TomTom's coordinates on the map, because VoidMap shows its own at the bottom. TomTom's waypoints and arrow are unchanged
