vanThos Fishing Journal

# vanThos Fishing Journal

A personal fishing journal for **WoW Forever**. It records every cast, shows what bites in each zone, subzone and fishing school, compares your effective Fishing skill with what the place needs and helps while you fish. No other addon required.

## Location display
Appears while a fishing pole is equipped:
- Place and water type (fresh, salt, mixed) and your effective skill with a coloured skill bar: base skill, gear bonus, lure bonus and the amount still missing to the recommendation
- Possible and rare catches of the place with **your own catch rates**
- Fishing school selection; catches that do not fit the school can be rebooked with one click
- Lure button with lure choice from your bags, remaining lure time and an alert before a lure runs out
- Session summary (catches and vendor value per hour) and catch goals

## Journal
- **Zones:** minimum and recommended skill for 52 zones and instances, your catch tables and the schools of each zone
- **Catches:** fish, quest fish, trophies, bloated fish, crates and containers with possible contents and places
- **Schools:** loot, water, zones and your own fishing spots (map waypoint on click)

## About the data
Skill values and catch lists come from Classic and WoW Forever sources; unconfirmed details are marked in the addon. Percentages are your own observed shares, not guaranteed drop chances. Your data stays on your computer and is only shared when you export it.

Feedback with confirmed Forever catches is welcome.
