Underheal

Healing add-on, focused very much around raid healing and ideal for use with mouseovers - uses the main raid frames

Underheal is a healer-focused raid and party healing addon for WoW Classic Era.

It is built around Blizzard raid frames rather than replacing them completely. The goal is simple: keep the familiar Blizzard layout, but add the healing tools, visual clarity, and quick actions I always wanted from other addons, without turning the screen into a cockpit.

Underheal was originally built around Priest healing, but it is now highly configurable for Paladins, Druids, Shamans, and other healing setups.

Core Features

- Uses Blizzard raid frames instead of replacing them.
- Ordered raid and party frames with configurable scale, spacing, grouping, and layout.
- Optional Blizzard-style or square/high-contrast raid frame appearance.
- Optional class-colour edge strips on frames.
- Separate draggable tank panel with larger tank bars.
- Separate pet panel for raid pet monitoring.
- Optional target-of-target healing frame.
- Optional personal self-healing bar, movable and resizable.
- Incoming heal display using LibHealComm.
- Centre-frame HoT icons with remaining time.
- Large out-of-combat food/drink/rest icons on unit bars.
- Dead, feign death, mind control, and other special state labels.

Healing Feedback

- Cast-time heal icons appear only when WoW confirms a real cast has started
- Event-driven `!!RANGE!!` and `!!LOS!!` warnings after failed casts
- Full-screen red low-health warning pulse
- Full-screen blue out-of-mana warning pulse
- Tank polymorph/dispel warning alerts

Underheal avoids continuous custom range polling for performance reasons. Range and line-of-sight warnings are driven by cast feedback and click-time checks rather than constant raid-wide scanning.

Threat Tools

- Threat indicators on raid/tank frames.
- Threat bars.
- Red high-threat borders.
- Flashing alerts when a player newly becomes the tanking target.
- Optimised threat refresh cadence to reduce raid CPU load.

Mana Tools

- Mana indicators for mana-using raid members.
- Optional movable Total Healer Mana panel.
- Optional Total DPS Mana row in the same panel.
- Optional combined mana status:
  - Green: 60%+
  - Amber: 30-60%
  - Red: under 30%
- Subtle “ALL HEALERS LOW MANA” alert when all active healers are low.
- Mana stats panel showing mana usage, time to OOM, and target death estimate.

Buffs and Debuffs

- Configurable buff buttons on raid frames.
- Click-to-buff support.
- Missing-buff colours.
- Class targeting for buffs.
- Buff alias support, such as Gift of the Wild satisfying Mark of the Wild.
- Automatic lower-rank buff selection for lower-level targets where possible.
- Fear Ward expiry warnings.
- Reagent-aware group buff fallback to individual buffs where possible.

Click-to-buff can be enabled or disabled separately. My own workflow is to heal with mouseover macros and let clicks handle specific utility actions like buffing or Fear Ward.

Debuffs use clear visual colours and can be configured by type so you only see what your class can handle.

Underheal also includes configurable debuff action buttons. These can be set up per class to show only when a matching debuff is present, and can cast the spell you choose, such as Dispel Magic, Abolish Disease, Cleanse, Remove Curse, or similar.

Clicks and Mouseover Macros

- Configurable click-casting.
- Supports modifier combinations such as Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Alt+Shift, Ctrl+Shift, Alt+Ctrl, and Alt+Ctrl+Shift.
- Supports extra mouse buttons including middle mouse, Mouse Button 4, and Mouse Button 5.
- Optional trinket usage in generated macros.
- Mouseover macro helper for creating safe WoW macros.

Special Power / Utility Highlighting

Underheal includes a configurable special-power system. For example, Priests can configure Power Infusion, choose a target class such as Mage, and optionally set a chosen player. When the spell is ready, the matching player and action button can highlight clearly.

Raid Healing Lead

Underheal includes an in-game Raid Healing Lead section for organising healing assignments. This is VERY MUCH a work in progress!!

Current support includes:

- Raid tabs for ZG, AQ20, MC, BWL, AQ40, and Naxx.
- Boss-based healing assignment sections.
- Configurable healing team roster.
- Manual roster editing.
- Guild/CLM import support.
- Website import/export string support.
- Manual tank/target assignment rows.
- Clear boss, clear raid, and remove-row controls.
- Posting assignments to a configured channel.

This feature is still being actively improved, but the aim is to make healing assignments easy to build, review, adjust, and post from inside the game.

Feedback

Underheal is still actively developed and feedback is very welcome.
