Trailnotes Workshop

Find players who can craft the recipe you need, and see exactly what it takes to make it yourself.

Trailnotes Workshop is a crafting finder for Classic. Pick a profession or type part of a recipe name, click a recipe, and see which Workshop users are online and can craft it, with their skill, zone and a one-click Whisper button.

Features

Find a crafter

• Search every recipe for every profession, or narrow it down with the profession icons. Ctrl-click an icon to search several professions at once.
• Results show each online crafter's name, profession (skill), zone and last seen. Click a column header to sort.
• Whisper opens a chat with an optional ready-made message, such as "Hi, could you help me out with [Linen Bandage]?"
• Favourites: star the crafters you trust and find them again quickly.

Plan a craft

• Recipe tooltips list the reagents you need, what you have in your bags, bank, mail and on your alts, and what is missing.
• Recipe details shows every reagent with Need, Bags / Bank / Mail / Alt, unit price, source and cost. You also get a full-craft cost and a missing-mats cost.
• Craftable reagents, like bars smelted from ore, can be expanded to show how to make them, and the window tells you whether buying or making is cheaper.
• With the Auction House open, Scan all mats (or the magnifier on a single reagent) fetches current prices.

Search your way

• Simple search: type 3+ letters. Use * as a wildcard and "quotes" for an exact name.
• Advanced search: Usable by me, level range, profession, skill range, item type, slot, "I have mats", "Crafter online" and max AH cost. Gear for me fills in sensible defaults in one click.
• Saved searches: Save keeps the current search under a name. The Saved searches dropdown runs a saved search with one click, and the red icon deletes it.

Privacy: opt-in only

Nothing is shared until you say yes. On first use you are asked whether to list your professions. You can change your mind or go Away at any time, in the window or under Settings > AddOns > Trailnotes Workshop, which also shows exactly what is shared. Only the professions and recipes another player searches for are sent, and only to Workshop users.

Works standalone

Workshop runs on its own. Optional extras when installed:

• Trailnotes (core): a Workshop row in the class hub, /tn workshop, and vendor locations for reagents.

Commands

/workshop or /tnws opens the window.
