TBC Raid Calls Receiver

Shows raiders only their personal assignments and lets them Accept, Clarify, or Decline directly to the raid leader.

TBC Raid Calls Receiver

TBC Raid Calls Receiver is a lightweight companion addon for TBC Raid Calls.

Instead of searching through every Raid Call posted to raid chat, Receiver gives each player a small personal assignment window containing only the information relevant to them.

Raid leaders continue building and announcing assignments through TBC Raid Calls. Players who have Receiver installed automatically receive their own assignments privately through addon communication.

Personal Raid Assignments

When the raid leader presses Announce, Receiver automatically receives your current personal assignments.

Depending on the encounter and setup, this can include:

  • Tank assignments
  • Healing assignments
  • DPS assignments
  • Multiple-healer assignments
  • Raid marker and target information
  • Custom assignments
  • Caster and Receiver instructions
  • Raid Buff assignments

You only see the assignments involving your character.

No need to search through a large Raid Calls message to find your name.

Accept, Clarify or Decline

Receiver adds a ready-check-style acknowledgement system to raid assignments.

After receiving your assignments you can choose:

ACCEPT Confirm that you have read and understood the current assignment.

CLARIFY Tell the raid leader that you need additional information before accepting.

DECLINE Tell the raid leader that you cannot perform the current assignment.

Clarification and decline responses can include a preset reason and an optional custom comment.

Example reasons include:

  • Need explanation
  • Conflicting assignment
  • Wrong role/spec
  • Unsure about target
  • Cannot perform mechanic
  • Already assigned elsewhere
  • Need replacement

Responses are sent privately through addon communication and do not spam raid chat.

Assignment Updates

Assignments can change during raid preparation.

Receiver keeps track of assignment revisions and highlights what changed.

New or modified assignments can be marked as:

NEW A new assignment was added for you.

CHANGED An existing assignment was modified.

Receiver can also show assignments that were removed from your previous setup.

When an updated assignment arrives, your previous acknowledgement is reset so you can review and respond to the new revision.

Raid Leader Feedback

TBC Raid Calls automatically detects players running a compatible Receiver.

The raid leader can see whether each player is:

  • Accepted
  • Waiting
  • Needs clarification
  • Declined
  • Missing Receiver
  • Running an outdated Receiver
  • Offline
  • Experiencing a delivery failure

Clarification reasons and comments can be reviewed directly from TBC Raid Calls.

This gives the raid leader confirmation that assignments were not only sent — they were actually received and acknowledged.

Automatic Receiver Detection

There is no manual connection process.

When you join a raid, Receiver automatically announces its presence privately to compatible TBC Raid Calls users.

The raid leader can then send your assignments directly through the addon.

Receiver validates that assignment data comes from a current Raid Leader or Raid Assistant before displaying it.

Reliable Private Delivery

Receiver communication is separate from normal raid chat.

Assignment transfers include:

  • Hidden addon communication
  • Chunked transfer for larger assignments
  • Transfer checksums
  • Delivery acknowledgements
  • Automatic retries
  • Assignment revision validation
  • Protection against older or conflicting assignment versions

Normal raid chat remains available as a fallback for players who do not have Receiver installed.

Personal Assignment Window

The Receiver window is designed to stay small and unobtrusive during a raid.

Options include:

  • Automatically show new assignments
  • Show assignments when the encounter starts
  • Minimize after accepting
  • Play a notification sound when assignments change
  • Hide when you have no active assignment
  • Show only while grouped
  • Lock the window
  • Adjustable scale
  • Adjustable opacity
  • Saved window position

Your latest assignment remains available so you can reopen it whenever you need to check the mechanic again.

Request an Update

Press UPDATE to request your latest personal assignment again from the raid leader.

This is useful if you:

  • Closed the window
  • Missed an update
  • Reloaded your UI
  • Want to verify your current assignment

A small safety cooldown prevents accidental request spam.

Commands

Receiver can be controlled with:

/tbcrcv

or:

/tbcrreceiver

Available commands include:

/tbcrcv show Show your current assignments.

/tbcrcv hide Hide the Receiver window.

/tbcrcv toggle Toggle the Receiver window.

/tbcrcv request Request your latest assignment.

/tbcrcv settings Open Receiver settings.

/tbcrcv reset Reset the Receiver window position and scale.

/tbcrcv scale 50-150 Change Receiver window scale.

/tbcrcv lock Lock the assignment window.

/tbcrcv unlock Unlock the assignment window.

/tbcrcv status Show current Receiver and assignment status.

Requirements

Raiders only need TBC Raid Calls Receiver installed.

The raid leader or raid assistant sending the assignments must use a compatible version of TBC Raid Calls.

Receiver is completely optional. Players without Receiver can still receive traditional assignment whispers from TBC Raid Calls.

Built for the raider

TBC Raid Calls helps the raid leader organize the encounter.

TBC Raid Calls Receiver helps the raider answer one simple question:

“What do I need to do?”
