Description

TBC Raid Calls

TBC Raid Calls is a standalone World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary addon for raid leaders and assistants who want a clean planning board for boss assignments, roster organization, raid markers, announcements, synchronized setups, and raid-group composition.

Plan before or during a raid, save reusable assignment and roster templates, import Raid-Helper signups, exchange complete setups through portable share strings, collaborate with other raid leaders through the optional synchronized workspace, and announce clear raid calls to Raid Chat or Raid Warning.

Highlights

  • Build flexible Tank, DPS, healing, and Custom utility assignments with drag-reorderable rows and clickable spell links.
  • Save encounter layouts and reusable named Assignment Templates for fast preparation across raids.
  • Synchronize notes, assignments, and the active Roster Planner securely between raid leaders and assistants, with manual control over every update.
  • Exchange complete setups or selected content anywhere using portable !TBCR:1: share strings—no party or raid required.
  • Import Raid-Helper signups, organize a class-colored roster, and use imported players directly in assignments.
  • Plan all eight raid groups with drag-and-drop movement, Auto Sort, Group Utility indicators, saved roster templates, and controlled live group application.
  • Announce assignments, whisper personalized instructions, and apply tank or encounter-NPC raid markers from one interface.
  • Create custom trash setups and use encounter-specific target lists for bosses, adds, weapons, and phase targets.
  • Enjoy a consistent addon-styled interface with searchable dropdowns, clear button states, and saved scaling from 50% to 150%.

Main Layout

The addon uses a three-panel layout:

  • Left: Raid roster, RaidHelper import, Raid Groups button, Auto Invite, manual add/delete, and role counters.
  • Center: Raid and boss selection, Assignment Template controls, synchronization controls, boss assignment rows, Import/Export, Whisper, Clear All, Add Row, and Raid/Boss notes.
  • Right: Encounter NPC list, marker assignment mode, announce channel, Announce, Set Mark, and Random Winner controls.

Assignment Rows

Default layout:

1 Tank / Healer / Boss / Marker row
1 DPS / Healer / Boss / Marker row
1 Caster / Receiver / Custom Text row

Add Row modifiers:

Click Add Row = Add Tank row
Shift-click Add Row = Add DPS row
Ctrl-click Add Row = Add Custom row

Custom rows are useful for spell and utility calls such as Misdirection, Innervate, Soulstone, Fear Ward, Bloodlust, Heroism, Mana Tide, or other raid-specific instructions. Use Select Spell to search all included max-rank TBC class spells and insert a clickable spell link. The Receiver can be a roster player or a boss/encounter NPC selected from the right panel.

Custom rows can also describe healing responsibilities that do not fit a single Tank/Healer row. Assign the healer as the Caster, optionally select a tank as the Receiver, and use Custom Text for instructions such as Backup tank healing, Raid healing, or Groups 1-2.

Assignment Templates and Portable Sharing

Save all currently visible assignment rows as a named Assignment Template. Templates can be loaded into another encounter, overwritten, or deleted with confirmation. Loading a template changes the assignment rows only and does not replace your notes or roster plan.

The main Import/Export window creates versioned !TBCR:1: strings that can be copied through external services while players are not grouped. Choose one or more export scopes:

  • Complete Setup: All assignments, all saved Assignment Templates, and the active Roster Planner. Selecting this disables the narrower options.
  • Assignments only: Encounter assignment data without the rest of the setup.
  • Assignment Template: The currently selected named Assignment Template.
  • Roster Planner only: The active working roster composition.

Imported strings are checked for format version, size, schema, and corruption before a content summary and confirmation are shown. Existing assignment CSV import/export remains available separately through Export CSV.

Synchronized Workspace

Sync mode is an optional workspace for raid leaders and assistants. It keeps synchronized notes, assignments, and the active Roster Planner separate from your local setup, so you can freely switch between local and shared planning.

  • Copy stores the complete setup from the currently selected mode.
  • Paste places the copied setup into Sync mode after confirmation without changing the local setup.
  • Share sends the synchronized setup to eligible raid leaders and assistants through the hidden addon communication channel.
  • Update applies a received setup only when you choose to do so. Incoming data remains pending until then.

Sync authorization is checked against the current live raid role before sending every transfer chunk, when receiving data, and again before Paste or Update. Buttons are grayed out when unavailable and highlighted when ready. Sync mode does not automatically overwrite local or synchronized drafts.

Raid-Helper Import

Use the RaidHelper button in the Raid Roster panel.

Recommended CSV format:

Name,Class,Spec,Role
Shadowname,Priest,Shadow,Damage
Djuulsh,Shaman,Restoration,Healer
Tankname,Warrior,Protection,Tank
Kage,Mage,,DPS

Accepted roles:

Tank
Healer
DPS
Damage
Damager
None

Older Name,Class,Role CSV imports still work.

Raid Groups

Use the Raid Groups planner to drag or swap players between eight groups, preview important group utility, or create a suggested 25-player setup with Auto Sort.

Plan Roster opens an isolated working composition built from imported Raid-Helper players and the current party or raid. Named templates can be saved, loaded, overwritten, or deleted, including OPEN - Prefer slots. Right-click a planner player to correct their name, class, specialization, or raid role.

Loading a saved roster plan also merges its players into the main Raid Roster without creating duplicates, making them immediately available for encounter assignments.

Plans can also be imported/exported as Name;Class;Spec;Role;Group;Slot semicolon CSV without moving anyone in the live raid. Clear Text empties only the transfer field; confirmed Clear Import removes the imported and working planner roster while preserving named templates.

Use Live JSON in the planner transfer window to export the currently invited roster with names, classes, known specializations, roles, groups, and slots. The same Import action automatically accepts this planner JSON and loads it as an editable composition.

Apply Groups rearranges matching players in the live raid to the planned groups without creating duplicates. Players in the live raid who are not part of the imported plan are reserved for groups 6-8 for manual placement. Group Utility remains available as a roster preview while solo. Applying groups requires raid leader or assistant permissions and cannot run during combat.

Announcements and Markers

Announce sends the raid-call header and each assignment line as separate messages.

Supported channels:

  • Raid Chat
  • Raid Warning

Shift-click Announce previews the calls in your own chat only.

Set Mark applies or repairs selected raid markers without announcing. Marker mode can target either assigned tanks or visible encounter NPCs.

Raid Warning, live role assignment, raid marker changes, and synchronized setup transfers require the appropriate normal WoW permissions. Synchronized setup sharing and receiving are restricted to current raid leaders and assistants.

Random Winner and Auto Invite

Random Winner picks a connected member from the live party or raid and announces:

RNG Winner {rt1} Playername {rt1} - Roster pos: X

Enable No Repeat to let everyone win once before a new cycle begins. Winner history lasts for the current addon session; the toggle setting itself is saved.

Enable Auto Invite below the roster to invite players who whisper exactly inv or invite. While grouped, the local player must have the normal party leader, raid leader, or raid assistant permission.

Slash Commands

Most raid actions, including Announce, Whisper, Set Mark, Raid-Helper import, portable sharing, synchronization, Assignment Templates, Raid Groups, and Auto Sort, are handled from the addon UI rather than slash commands.
