Systematic Layers

See which layer every guildie is on, get to theirs in one click, and stay off Olympus layers.

Systematic Layers is a guild addon for WoW: Forever. It works out which layer you're on by itself, shares that with your guildmates, and gives the guild a list of every layer and who's on it. There's nothing to set up: install it, and it starts reading your layer from the NPCs around you.

Features

• Your layer, always on screen. A small badge under the minimap shows your layer number. Drag it anywhere.
• The guild at a glance. /layers opens a window listing each layer, who's on it, and where they are. Members of TRIBUNAL BETA, SYSTEMATIC and Forever Saviors share a channel, so you see all three guilds, with each member's guild shown beside their name.
• One-click hopping. Click Hop on any layer. A guildie on that layer gets asked to invite you, you accept automatically, and once you've moved, you leave the group. If they decline, the next guildie on that layer is asked.
• You decide who you invite. Hop requests ask you first by default. You can switch to inviting automatically, or turn requests off.
• Olympus alerts. Anyone can flag the layer they're on as Olympus. Flagged layers show in red and have no Hop button. If you land on one, you're warned in chat and on screen, and Get off this layer moves you to a clear one.
• Chat tab. Three switches, all on by default:
  • Hide any mention of Olympus in every chat channel.
  • Block group invites from Olympus guilds (any guild whose name starts with "Olympus").
  • Hide messages in Korean, Japanese, Russian and Chinese. English, accented Latin, punctuation and item links are never hidden.
• Out-of-date notice. When a guildmate is running a newer version, you're told once in chat, and an "Update available" line appears in the window.
• Options and minimap button. The options are under Esc → Options → AddOns. Left-click the minimap button for the window, right-click for options, drag to move.

Good to know

• The more of the guild runs it, the better it works. You can only see and hop to guildies who have it installed.
• Layer numbers appear once someone with the addon visits Orgrimmar, since layers are numbered by their order there. Until then, layers show as "Unmapped", but guildies on the same layer are still grouped together.
• In cities, mouse over or talk to a few NPCs to read your layer faster. Forever doesn't let addons use the combat log, so the addon reads the NPCs you target, mouse over or talk to. Turning on friendly nameplates (Ctrl+Shift+V) makes it near instant.
• Olympus flags last 12 hours unless someone renews them.
• The invite block only knows the guilds of players you've seen. The game doesn't say which guild an inviter is in, so an Olympus member you've never targeted, moused over or seen on a nameplate gets through, and you're told their guild was unknown.
• Layer changes have a cooldown set by Blizzard. If a hop doesn't move you, wait a few minutes and try again.

Install

Download it from the Connections tab on systematic.gg, or from CurseForge. Unzip the SystematicLayers folder into Interface/AddOns, then /reload.
