Squizzcap - Death Recap
Died and not sure why? The moment you die, Squizzcap pops up a compact summary: what killed you, how hard it hit and how fast you went down. It stays on screen through release, resurrection and loading screens until you close it. Click Details for the full recap.
Everything comes from Blizzard's own death recap, so the numbers are the game's, not a guess.
The full recap
- Killed By: the spell, who cast it, the damage and overkill, with Blizzard's own Avoidable and Deadly markers.
- How fast: from healthy to dead in seconds, and whether it was a burst or you were worn down.
- Damage taken, and how much was absorbed, resisted or blocked.
- Your health as a graph across the hits before your death, one dot per hit sized by damage. Hover a dot for the spell's tooltip, click it to jump to that hit.
- What hit you: the damage split by spell, in each spell's school colour.
Dig deeper
- Hits: every hit, newest first. Click one for your health before and after, absorbed, resisted, blocked and overkill.
- Sources: each enemy and the spells they hit you with.
- All deaths: every death is saved for your character and grouped by dungeon or raid visit, with the key level for Mythic+. At the end of a key, look back over the whole run.

Good to know
- Blizzard's death recap keeps the last 10 hits before a death.
- The health graph is exact at every hit. Healing isn't recorded in the recap, so the stretch between two hits is drawn faint: the rise is real, its exact timing is estimated.
