SpellSmasher Macro Sequencer
Make your own sequences or hit setmeup for easiest premade macro sequences
Macro sequencer for Midnight · Classic Era · TBC Anniversary · MoP Classic
ST mash. AoE mash. Kick. Survive. Help.
Your lists. Your presses. Nothing off the list.
Set me up builds two Icy Veins packs — a real single-target sequence and a real AoE sequence. Bind ST mash and AoE mash. Each press runs the next combat line on that list:
/cast /use /castsequence
Only what you put on the list fires.
It is not Blizzard’s Single-Button Assist. That button will not interrupt, will not defensive, and it adds a GCD penalty. SpellSmasher does not pretend to be it.
Play Kit adds Kick, Survive, and Help — keys you press. They are never in the mash.
Build and share packs at spellsmasher.com. Import adds. It never wipes sequences you already made.
The keys
| Key | Role | Who decides |
|---|---|---|
| ST mash | Single-target Icy Veins list | Mash (always advances) |
| AoE mash | Multi-target / AoE list | Mash (always advances) |
| Kick | Interrupts you know — first that can fire | You (cast bar) |
| Survive | Walls you know, @player — first that can fire |
You |
| Help | Ally spells you tick (Freedom, BoP, Misdirection, Spirit Mend, …) | You (each spell has its own target) |
Kick targets @mouseover then @focus then target.
Survive is @player.
Help: Easy setup next to Clear. Tick the ally spells you know. Each one has its own target (Misdirection on a friend or pet, Spirit Mend on you). Longest cooldown first; the game skips a line that cannot fire. A spell never aims at a target it is not allowed to hit (Misdirection cannot hit you). Empty is correct (DH, DK, Era hunter). Set out of combat. Not the Tutorial button.
Empty Kick is correct if that spec has no interrupt (Holy Paladin, most healers). Restoration Shaman keeps Wind Shear.
Each press tries the spells you know, in order. The game skips a line that cannot fire. This is not a sequence that walks to the wrong spell.
Hunter: Kick is Counter Shot or Muzzle, then Intimidation. Survive is Survival of the Fittest (both charges), then Aspect of the Turtle. Help: Misdirection (friend or pet) and Spirit Mend (you) — you pick who each hits.
Same idea if you know two personals: DK AMS then Icebound, Rogue Feint then Cloak then Evasion, Paladin Divine Protection then Divine Shield, Prot Shield Wall then Last Stand.
That key must be empty
ST, AoE, Kick, Survive, and Help own the key.
Drag any spell off that action-bar button first.
Bind mash to 1 while Cobra Shot is still on bar slot 1, and both fire. It will feel broken.
/ssmwarns on the bind bars, and again at bind time if the slot is still occupied. Bind 1–0 clears that main-bar button first (out of combat). The spell stays in your book.Do not drag a SpellSmasher macro onto an action bar. Keybind only.

Mash
Two keys. Two lists. Not Shift.
- ST — green icon — single-target
- AoE — blue icon — packs
- Pick a pack in the list, tap the key. Both stay live in combat.
Modes
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| In order | 1, 2, 3, 4 |
| Priority | Top of the block more often (editor shows %) |
| Reverse | Triangle from the bottom |
| Once | Opener / once this fight |
Mash always advances. Mash uses [nochanneling] so spam does not clip Aimed Shot / Eye Beam. Kick, Survive, and Help do not — you can kick during a channel.
Edit any row: reorder, change mode, paste your own macro.
Play Kit
Compiled out of combat from your spellbook. Only spells this character can actually use (talent, trainer, Classic level).
- Kick / Survive: each press tries known spells in order. Cooldown / no charge → next known spell on that key
- Help: tick the ally spells in Easy setup. Each has its own target. Longest cooldown first. Skip if that line cannot fire. One press = one spell
- Two charges of the same spell (Hunter SotF) still take two presses
- Empty if you have not trained it (DH / DK Help empty is correct)
- Never stuffed into the mash
- Never a “best next defensive” brain (Midnight will not let addons decide on cooldowns)
Talents (Midnight)
Each pack has its own Talents button.
- ST pack → Raid / ST Icy Veins tree
- AoE pack → Mythic+ / AoE tree when Icy Veins publishes a different one
- Spends this pack’s spells first, then leftover-fills points your level still has
- Saves named sheets SSM ST / SSM AoE
- Mash never swaps talents by itself
Era / TBC / MoP have no loadout strings — no Match there. Lists only include spells this level can train.
One addon, four versions

This addon does not
- Pretend to be Single-Button Assist (no interrupt, no defensive, GCD penalty)
- Put Kick, Survive, or Help inside the mash
- Cast anything that is not on your list
- Change talents while you mash
- Wipe existing packs on Import
- Want a mash macro sitting on an action bar
