Know which NPC drops the piece. Track every kill until it finally falls. Celebrate the Smash.

DropDamnit is a standalone Midnight addon for farming a specific NPC drop — Journal boss loot plus curated Classic / Wrath dungeon trash BoEs. Pick the item, farm the right creature, watch the kill counter tick, and get a clear Smash when the loot lands.

No other addon required. CashCow is optional for richer AH prices (and preferred for group loot races). Community Drop % is never invented — only published after enough real samples on dropdamnit.com.

Why players install this

What the addon does (in WoW)

• Hub — /dd or /dropdamnit: Find item / NPC, BoE-only filter, loot paperdoll, Worth farming, Zone / Hunts (KILL COUNTER), Recent Smashes, bottom bar (Copy sync / Paste rates / Tutorial / Invite Race / Race Stats)
• Catalog — Encounter Journal farm loot + curated Classic & Wrath dungeon trash BoEs (named droppers). Live name / ilvl / icon from the client. Not every outdoor BoE in the game — outdoor rares come later.
• Always-on tracking — kill counter, zone watch, and community queue stay on. No Pause / Zone OFF / Sync OFF. Leave a dungeon anytime; tallies stay until you paste a site receipt.
• Kill credit (Midnight-safe) — uses death / target / nameplate / loot-window paths. Does not scrape the Combat Log. Pets never count as farm NPCs; a pet killing a mob still credits the mob.
• Correct NPC only — community and hunt tallies attach to the matched dropper id/name. Never whole-instance trash pools. Hub * rows = killed something outside the catalog BoE list (won’t sync).
• Smash — Active Hunt: Smash when your hunted item is received. Auto Smash: BoE / sellable only. History shows kills-to-drop.
• Dungeon bind — Midnight often hides NPC name/GUID inside instances. Target the dropper → Hunt, or /dd bind, so tallies and Copy sync stay accurate.
• Loot Race — party/raid players with DropDamnit compete for most AH-valuable BoE loot. Invite → Join → each own instance → leave posts score → Race Stats shows every racer’s gold board and announces the winner. Peer checks reject non-BoE and inflated claims. CashCow same-day prices preferred.
• Tutorial — hub Tutorial button, /dd tutorial, first-load tip. Matching howto on dropdamnit.com.
• Community sync — anonymous kill / drop / gap tallies. Copy sync does not clear the queue; site Submit returns a receipt; Paste rates / Apply clears that export and refreshes %.

60-second start — personal farm

1. Install → enable at character select → log in → /reload
2. /dd → type an item in Find item / NPC → Search → click a result
3. Or open NPC Here in the zone / instance → pick the NPC → click a paperdoll drop → Hunt
4. In a dungeon: target that dropper → /dd bind if names look wrong or the counter stays empty
5. Keep the mob targeted while farming — KILL COUNTER rises; loot the drop → Smash

Community Drop % (dropdamnit.com)

1. Farm catalog BoE droppers (queue is always on)
2. Hub → Copy sync → Ctrl+C (queue kept)
3. dropdamnit.com → Paste sync → Submit
4. Site shows receipt (+ rates) → Copy it
5. In-game → Paste rates → Apply (clears that export; skip receipt = queue stays)

Site Drop % publishes only after enough real kills (default ≥50) and ≥1 drop. Unrecognized zones appear under Places needed. WoW cannot auto-upload — clipboard paste is required.

Loot Race (group fun)

1. Party / raid up. Hub → Invite Race (others click Join Race)
2. Each person runs their own instance; BoE / sellable loot scores AH gold
3. Leave posts your score to the group
4. When everyone is out → anyone clicks Race Stats
5. Every DropDamnit client shows the gold board and announces the winner

Honest limits

• Catalog = Journal bosses + curated Classic / Wrath dungeon trash BoEs — not every BoE NPC in the game
• Outdoor world rares are planned later
• Inside secret Midnight instances, correct attribution needs Hunt or /dd bind when names stay hidden
• Copy sync only queues catalog BoE dropper matches — hub can show kills while Copy is empty if you farmed non-catalog trash or unbound secret deaths
• Drop % is never invented; community numbers need real samples on the site
