Smart Misdirection

Smart Misdirection automatically maintains a macro named SMD so your Hunter can quickly cast Misdirection on the best available target.

What It Does

• Picks a valid tank from your party/raid.
• Supports a priority tank list (including Name-Realm entries).
• Can prefer main tank, off tank, or any tank in raids.
• Falls back to your pet (optional), then to a configurable default unit (like target or focus).
• If Misdirection is not known, the macro falls back to Recuperate.
• Defers secure macro updates during combat and applies them safely after combat.

Basic Usage

1. Install and enable the addon.
2. Put the managed macro SMD on your action bar.
3. Use the macro as your regular Misdirection button.

The addon keeps the macro target updated automatically as your group, roles, and pet state change.

Configuration

Open Interface/AddOns -> Smart Misdirection to configure:

• Priority tank list
• Fallback unit
• Pet fallback toggle
• Raid tank preference (Any/Main/Off)
• Debug output
