Lightweight Castbar Timer

Lightweight Castbar Timer is a small, performance-friendly addon that enhances the default Blizzard cast bar with precise timing and latency awareness, helping players execute spells more reliably and responsively.

Instead of replacing the cast bar or introducing a full UI overhaul, this addon builds directly on top of the Blizzard UI, adding only the information that matters.

What does this addon do?

This addon improves spell casting feedback by showing exact cast timing and network latency information directly on the cast bar. It helps players understand when a spell will finish and when the next spell can safely be queued, reducing misfires and wasted key presses.

Features

⏱️ Accurate Cast Timer

Displays a precise numerical timer on the player, target, and focus cast bars, showing current cast progress and total cast duration.
This allows players to track cast completion more accurately than the default UI alone.

🔴 Latency (Spell Queue) Overlay

Adds a semi-transparent red overlay on the cast bar representing the player’s latency window.
This visually shows when the spell queue window begins, making it easier to queue the next ability without clipping or delaying casts.

📡 Real-Time Latency Indicator

Shows the player’s current network latency as a small text value near the cast bar (e.g. 120ms).
The text is color-coded with a smooth green → yellow → red gradient, giving instant feedback about connection quality during combat.

↔️ Smart Channel Support

For channeled spells, the latency overlay and text automatically flip to the correct side of the cast bar, matching Blizzard’s channel behavior and remaining intuitive.
