# Shaman Alert - Forever

**Shaman Alert - Forever** shows missing totem slots on the right side of the
screen and supported shield reminders near the top center.

## Specialization filtering

- **Restoration:** supported, learned Water Shield and Earth Shield.
- **Elemental:** supported, learned Water Shield.
- **Enhancement:** no shield reminders.
- **All specializations:** enabled totem-slot reminders.

These are reminder presets. Individual switches disable alerts, but do not
force a shield alert that the specialization preset excludes.

## Important: combat limitations

**Shield loss during combat is not detected in this release.** This includes
Water Shield expiring or losing its final charge. Forever restricts access to
some combat aura data, and the addon does not guess whether a shield is present.

Totem monitoring uses duration objects when ordinary totem information is
restricted. Pre-expiration warnings are shown only when timing is readable.
The addon checks element slots, not totem range or party buff coverage.
Disable unused totem slots to avoid reminders for them.

## Installation

1. Extract **ShamanAlert-Forever-1.6.0.zip**.
2. Copy **SchamanenAlarm** to **World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/**.
3. Restart WoW and enable **Shaman Alert - Forever**.
4. Type **/sa test** to preview the display, or **/sa help** for commands.

Keep the internal folder name **SchamanenAlarm**. Existing settings are preserved.

## Useful commands

- `/sa sound` — toggle sound.
- `/sa size 30` — set text size.
- `/sa seconds 5` — warn five seconds before expiration when timing is available.
- `/sa water` — toggle Water Shield reminders.
- `/sa earthshield focus` — monitor your Earth Shield on your focus.
- `/sa fire`, `/sa earth`, `/sa watertotem`, `/sa air` — toggle individual totem slots.
- `/sa move` and `/sa lock` — move and lock the shield display.

Shield reminders default to outside combat. `/sa combat` is retained for settings
compatibility, but enabling combat-only mode does not enable combat shield detection.
The test preview intentionally shows every alert, regardless of specialization.

WoW Forever, interface **16001**. Prepared against client **1.60.1.70058**.
Future beta builds may require updates. This download is for Forever only.
