No idea where to get started with FISHING in World of Warcraft? 🎣 SCHOOLED reads your progress and tells you the next thing to do!

Know where to fish next for every fishing achievement you're chasing, which pools are worth a cast, and which lure to bring.

✨ Features

• 🗺️ Where to fish, prioritized: every Midnight zone ranked by the points you can still win there, with the one you're standing in marked.
• 🎣 Every pool judged: Hover over a pool out in the world and get a verdict: FISH HERE, WORTH IT or SKIP (plus why)
• 🪝 The right lure: which lure works in this zone or pool, how many you're carrying, and whether you have the mats to craft more. Missing the recipe? It says where to learn it and drops a pin on the map.
• 📍 Here in your zone: one strip tells you what you can work on where you're standing, across every expansion. Click it to jump straight there.
• 🏆 More than Midnight: The Briny Best, Toxic Trophies and Angler of The Coiled Isle; all seven Legion fishing achievements, with every rare fish's bait chain and today's fishing world quests; and the older collections (The Limnologist, The Oceanographer, the Secret Fish, Treasures of the Damned and more), with where to catch every fish.
• 🧭 Map pins that stay out of the way: zone badges, pools you've seen, Curse Surge sites and recipe vendors, each one click from a waypoint (TomTom too). The world and continent maps stay clear unless you're tracking something.
• 🌊 Curse Surge alerts, and a heads-up for the Cursed Waters after them.
• 🎉 Progress celebrated: a small pop for a better score, a bigger one for a new rank or a box ticked, and the biggest for an achievement. It pops even with the window closed.
• 🪟 Full or compact: a big window for planning, and a small one you can leave open while you fish.
• 📡 Reads your progress from the game: scores, ranks and achievement boxes come straight from the client, so it works in every language.
• 🎮 New to fishing? Common QoL features baked in (off by default, won't interfere with other fishing add ons!) including one-key-fishing, auto-lure and auto-bobber

Compatibility

• World of Warcraft Retail 12.1.
• No dependencies required: works standalone. TomTom is used for waypoints if you have it.
• Pool names and where-to-fish notes are in English for now.

Credits

SCHOOLED is an original addon, written from scratch. It is not a fork or an edit of another addon, and it contains no other addon's code.

• BrinyBest by Andrew Edmond (MIT License) worked out a few Midnight fishing facts by testing in the game, and SCHOOLED uses four of them with thanks: the score each rank starts at, which zones share a fish table, that the Ula'tek Snakehead bites without its lure, and the Fishing spell IDs.
• Inter by The Inter Project Authors (SIL Open Font License) is the font of the Clean look, included unmodified.
• Data about fish catch locations come from public guides, mainly Warcraft Wiki and Wowhead. Full credits are inside the addon.
