Scale'thas

Simple UI scale controls, with a one-click pixel-perfect option.

Blizzard's UI scale slider stops at 0.64, which can still be too big on a large or high-resolution monitor. Scale'thas lets you set any scale from 0.30 to 1.15, so you can shrink your UI down until it fits the way you want and keep more of the screen for the game.

Features

Any scale from 0.30 to 1.15

• Set it with the slider, by typing a number, or from chat.
• The slider applies when you let go, so the settings page doesn't shrink under your mouse while you drag.
• Type 0.5, .5 or 0,5. Values are rounded to two decimals, and anything outside the range is set to the nearest limit, with a message in chat telling you so.

Pixel-perfect in one click

• The button shows the scale where one UI unit is exactly one pixel on your screen (for example 0.71 at 1080p, 0.53 at 1440p or 0.36 at 4K), and sets it.

Edit Mode works at any scale

• Edit Mode's snapping, grid and guide lines all line up at your scale, including below 0.64.

Stays put

• Your scale comes back after a reload, a window resize, a resolution change, or a change to Blizzard's own UI scale option.
• Change it in combat and it applies as soon as combat ends.

Easy to undo

• Installing Scale'thas changes nothing until you pick a scale.
• "Reset to Blizzard" hands scaling back to the game, then reloads your UI. Scale'thas never changes Blizzard's own UI scale setting, so it's exactly as you left it.

Slash commands

• /uiscale, /scalethas or /st: open the settings.
• /uiscale 0.5: set the scale to any number from 0.30 to 1.15.
• /uiscale pixel: set the pixel-perfect scale.
• /uiscale reset: go back to Blizzard's scale (asks first, then reloads).

Notes

• The settings live under Options → AddOns → Scale'thas.
• The scale is saved account-wide, so all your characters share it.
• If another addon also sets your UI scale, turn its scaling off, or the two will keep undoing each other.
