RuneforgeWatch
Never pull with the wrong runeforge again. RuneforgeWatch watches your weapon's runeforge and warns you the instant it doesn't match what you've picked for your current Death Knight spec — including separate setups for 2H and dual-wield Frost.
Features
- On-screen warning banner — a clean, draggable toast appears the moment your equipped runeforge doesn't match what you've configured, and disappears the moment it's correct again. Color-coded: amber for "nothing set yet", red for "wrong rune equipped."
- Per spec, per loadout — Blood, Frost, and Unholy are tracked separately, and Frost gets its own Two-Handed and Dual-Wield profiles since it can run either. Switching specs or weapon setup automatically checks against the right one.
- Pick from a dropdown — no need to actually have a rune equipped to configure it. Open the options panel and choose from all 7 current runeforges (Razorice, Fallen Crusader, Stoneskin Gargoyle, Apocalypse, Hysteria, Sanguination, Spellwarding) per slot.
- Minimap button — left-click opens the options panel, right-click locks/unlocks the warning banner, drag to reposition it around the minimap.
- Options panel under Options → AddOns → RuneforgeWatch (or
/rfw options).
Getting started
- Install via the CurseForge app, or drop the
RuneforgeWatchfolder intoWorld of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns. - Log in (or
/reload) on your Death Knight. - Click the minimap button (or
/rfw options) and pick the correct runeforge for each spec/loadout from the dropdowns. - That's it — the banner only appears when something's actually wrong.

Notes
- Runeforges are read directly off your equipped weapon's item enchant, the same mechanism as a normal crafted enchant — no combat log or tooltip parsing tricks required for detection.
- Blood and Unholy only get a Two-Handed profile since they can't dual-wield; Frost gets both.
