Description

Ever ask "Anyone know if a DMT is open??" in general chat and just get crickets? This fixes that.

When someone opens a Dire Maul Tribute run, Run-D.M.T. quietly tells your guild and friends who have the addon — who's hosting, how much time's left, who to whisper for an invite. If you missed it, log in and it'll let you know. And it doesn't stop at your own circle — if a friend or guildmate hears about a run from their connections, it automatically passes through to you too, by default. The more people running it, the more of the server actually knows when those buffs are up.

Why it's safe to run:

  • Opening a run always needs a real click from a real person — nothing auto-invites, nothing acts on your behalf without you choosing it in that moment.
  • The automatic pass-along only ever repeats something genuinely new — the same run info can't loop or pile up no matter how many people relay it, and you can opt out of participating with one checkbox if you'd rather just listen.
  • Info only ever travels through people you already chose — guild and friends, never strangers.
  • Fixed message templates only. No open chat, no spam vector.
  • Runs entirely on Blizzard's own addon-message API — same category as WeakAuras or DBM notes sharing.
  • Want silence? Open it and click "Muted."
  • Host must be in Dire Maul to open a run.
  • Passing lead in-game transfers hosting automatically and updates everyone listening on who to whisper now — no separate button needed.
  • Hand it to someone who isn't actually in Dire Maul, and if they don't get there within 15 seconds, the run auto-closes instead of leaving people whispering someone who was never really there.
  • Player abusing it? Handle it like anything else in-game — add them to your ignore list, and the addon stops registering announcements from them entirely.

Minimap icon with a full set of clicks (left to toggle the window, shift-left to toggle whether you're relaying, right for settings, shift-right to force-check if anything's open, middle to mute) — plus slash commands if you'd rather type:

/rundmt
/rundmt ping

How the chain works: think of it like a phone tree, except nobody has to dial. You hear a run's open, and if you haven't opted out, your guild and friends hear it from you automatically — no click needed to keep it moving. They can do the same for theirs. Nobody's shouting in Trade — it just quietly spreads through people who already know each other and already have the addon, one genuinely-new piece of information at a time.
