Rocket Swap

Save presets that combine specialization, talents, gear and appearance, then switch all of them with one click. For World of Warcraft: Midnight.

Why Rocket Swap?

Switching roles in WoW takes four separate actions in four different windows: change specialization, pick a talent loadout, equip a gear set and change your appearance. If you swap between tank and DPS, or between Mythic+ and arena, you do all four several times a session, in the right order, without forgetting one.

Rocket Swap saves those four as a preset and does all of them for you.

The game's own tools don't cover this. Blizzard lets you tie one gear set to each specialization. Rocket Swap lets you have as many presets as you want for the same specialization, such as Frost – Mythic+ and Frost – Arena, each with its own talents and gear.

Features

One-click presets

Each preset stores any combination of:

• Specialization
• Talent loadout
• Equipment set (from the game's Equipment Manager)
• Appearance (the game's transmog outfits)

Leave any of them empty and that part stays as it is. Your first preset starts out with the spec, talents and gear you're using right now.

The swap handles the game's quirks

• It runs one step at a time. Each step waits for the game to confirm the previous one before starting the next, so gear isn't equipped before the new talents are saved.
• It waits out the spec-change lockout. For a few seconds after a swap, the game refuses to change specialization again, and there's no way to tell when that will end. Rocket Swap waits and retries, so you only click once.
• It shows progress. A panel shows each step as it happens: in progress, done or failed.
• It gives a reason when a step fails. For example, if a gear set has items that aren't in your bags, it tells you how many.
• It pauses in combat. If combat starts in the middle of a swap, the swap pauses and picks up again when combat ends.

The game protects the appearance change, so it only happens when you click the Load button in the Rocket Swap window. Slash commands and the minimap button swap everything else.

Wrong-gear warning

Rocket Swap warns you when your gear doesn't fit what you're doing:

• PvP gear in PvE content (dungeons, raids)
• PvE gear in a PvP match (arenas, battlegrounds)
• PvE gear with War Mode on. This one is optional and off by default.

The warning lists the pieces that don't fit and, if you have a matching preset, offers a Load button to fix it. It stays quiet in combat, and you can silence it for a situation (/rs unmute turns it back on).

Ready check summary

When someone starts a ready check, Rocket Swap shows what you're currently using:

Specialization: Frost  ·  Talents: Mythic ST  ·  Gear: Frost PvE

If you swapped a piece and didn't save the gear set, it says so, for example Gear: Frost PvE (13 of 14 pieces). The summary stays on screen until you click OK, so you won't miss it while you're reaching for the Ready button.

Also included

• Minimap button. Click to open the window, right-click to load your last preset.
• English and Brazilian Portuguese. Game terms are taken from the game itself where possible.
• Swap log. /rs log shows what happened in your last swaps, which answers "why didn't it swap?"
