RareScanner_12.1.5.2
What's new
12.1.5.2
- Fixed an error when using the option to don't show alert for containers, where the icons weren't turned pink in the minimap.
- Fixed a Lua error that could happen when a recently seen repeatable treasure (for example, the Forgotten Amani Cache) expired on the minimap after it was spotted in a subzone that RareScanner doesn't have in its database.
- Fixed an error where the icons shown in the world map were disappearing when opening the flight map.
- Fixed an issue where the map displayed after an initial scan (triggered by a new version) did not match the rare list shown. (Manual rescans were not affected).
- When the alert button for treasures is disabled, the treasures you find now show up on the minimap right away, not after a zone change.
- Respawn telemetry improvements:
- Respawn times measured while you were offline between a kill and the next spawn are now detected and not used in the tooltips, so the estimated timers are more accurate.
- The respawn timers in the map tooltips are now disabled by default while the data is being refined. You can enable them under RareScanner settings -> Map settings -> Tooltips -> Show respawn timers.
- The collected data has been reset once, and the addon now only exchanges data with players using this version, so please keep it updated.
12.1.5.1
- Updated database.
- Added more containers in Kindo'jan's Labyrinth (renown 2, renown 4 and secret room).
- Updated loot tables.
- Now repeatable containers show up with a light green colour to tell them apart from the rest.
- New feature (EXPERIMENTAL): Respawn telemetry. By default the addon now includes a new option that gathers information related to the respawn time of rare NPCs.
- It is shared with your guild and groups through hidden addon messages (no chat spam). The messages only contain NPC IDs, zone identifiers and times, no personal information, and the addon doesn't save the names of the players that send it to you.
- When you log in or join a group, the addon also asks the other RareScanner users in it for recent data.
- You can see what has been collected with the command /rs telemetry.
- The calculated respawn timers are displayed in the tooltips of the world map. You can hide them under RareScanner settings -> Map settings -> Tooltips -> Show respawn timers.
- If you don't want to take part, you can disable it under RareScanner settings -> General -> Respawn telemetry. If you notice any issue related to this, please report it on CurseForge.
- Added separators to the commands printed with /rs to make them easier to read.
- Updated Russian localizations (thanks to Hollicsh).
12.1.5
- Added support to 12.1.5.
- Added new treasures in The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan.
- Added a new tracking system: Class/race skills In WoW Forever, it's possible to track the blips shown on the minimap, so RareScanner now uses them to track rare/custom NPCs (any type of NPC hunters can track, humanoids for druids, and treasures for dwarves).
- NOTE: This feature is disabled in retail as the functions needed to work don't exist, however, I have added it just in case Blizzard ports them to this client.
- Added a new tracking system: Soft target. Now the addon can track NPCs/containers/treasures around you. It's more limited than nameplates, but until now, there was no other way to track containers around you in classic versions.
- NOTE: This tracker enables an in-game option that adds an icon above interactive NPCs and objects. If you don't want to see them, disable this tracker under RareScanner -> General tab.
- Added a load bar to show that the addon is calculating the best route.
- Added small code improvements to the explorer.
- Updated third party libraries:
- HereBeDragons
- WowAce
- Added a new tool that translators will love. Until now, the addon included static names for everything: achievements, NPCs, items, spells, etc. Now it uses dynamic codes that automatically translate and colorize text in tooltips, significantly reducing translation work.
- Fixed: World map faction filter integration.
- Note: Highlighted entities (rare NPCs, containers) for selected factions now correctly display on the map again after the changes made in Midnight.
- Updated russian localizations (thanks to Hollicsh).
- Updated simplified chinese localizations (thanks to LvWind).
