QuickVendor

QuickVendor is a lightweight merchant automation addon for WoW Forever.

It automatically sells eligible junk, repairs your gear, optionally uses guild funds for repairs, and provides configurable safeguards to prevent unwanted items from being sold.

💰 Automatic Junk Selling

• Automatically sell grey-quality junk items when visiting a merchant.
• Only sell items with a known positive vendor value.
• Unknown or incomplete item information is never treated as safe to sell.
• Re-check items immediately before selling.
• Report the number of items sold and the approximate vendor value.

🛡️ Safe Selling System

QuickVendor uses multiple checks before an item can be automatically sold:

• Item information must be available.
• Item ID must be known.
• Item name and type must be available.
• Item must be grey quality.
• Item must have a known positive vendor value.
• Item must meet the configured minimum vendor value.
• Item must not match an exclusion.

When QuickVendor isn't sure, it doesn't sell.

🚫 Item Exclusions

Protect specific items from automatic selling using:

• Item Name
• Item Type
• Item ID

Item ID exclusions provide the most precise way to protect a specific item.

Exclusions can be added, reviewed, and removed directly from the configuration panel.

💎 Minimum Vendor Value

Configure the minimum vendor value an item must have before QuickVendor will sell it.

This allows you to ignore extremely low-value junk while still automatically selling more valuable grey items.

🧪 Sell Preview

Use Test Sell to preview what QuickVendor would sell without actually selling anything.

The preview displays:

• Item name
• Item ID
• Stack count
• Vendor value
• Total vendor value

This makes it easy to verify your exclusions and selling rules before enabling automatic selling.

🔧 Automatic Repair

QuickVendor can automatically repair your gear when visiting a repair-capable merchant.

• Detects whether repair is available.
• Calculates the repair cost.
• Repairs all gear when sufficient funds are available.
• Reports the repair cost.
• Handles insufficient personal funds safely.

🏰 Guild Repair

Guild repair is available as an optional feature.

• Disabled by default.
• Can be enabled from the configuration panel.
• Checks whether guild repair is available.
• Checks available guild funds before attempting guild repair.
• Falls back to personal gold when guild repair cannot be used.

Guild funds are never used unless guild repair has been explicitly enabled.

🖱️ Manual Controls

QuickVendor provides manual controls alongside automatic merchant actions.

• Test Sell — preview eligible junk without selling.
• Sell Now — immediately sell eligible junk.
• Repair Now — immediately repair your gear.

⚙️ Configuration

The configuration panel allows you to control:

• Automatic junk selling
• Automatic repair
• Guild repair
• Minimum vendor value
• Item name exclusions
• Item type exclusions
• Item ID exclusions
• Active exclusion management

The configuration window can be moved anywhere on screen.

💾 Saved Settings

QuickVendor stores its configuration in SavedVariables.

The following settings are preserved between sessions:

• Auto-selling state
• Auto-repair state
• Guild repair state
• Minimum vendor value
• Item name exclusions
• Item type exclusions
• Item ID exclusions

Existing settings are automatically supplemented with newly introduced options when updating the addon.

🔄 Merchant Automation

When a merchant window opens, QuickVendor can automatically:

1. Check for available repairs.
2. Repair your gear according to your settings.
3. Scan your bags for eligible junk.
4. Apply your exclusion rules.
5. Verify item information and vendor value.
6. Sell eligible items.
7. Report the results in chat.

🧠 Item Detection

QuickVendor uses the available WoW item and container APIs to identify and evaluate items.

The addon supports modern APIs where available while retaining legacy API fallbacks for compatibility with WoW Forever.

Incomplete item information is skipped rather than treated as sellable.

⌨️ Commands

Use:

/qv

to open or close the QuickVendor configuration panel.

Use:

/qv status

to display the current addon settings and exclusion counts.

Use:

/qv test

to preview which junk items would be sold.

Use:

/qv sell

to manually sell eligible junk.

Use:

/qv repair

to manually repair your gear.

Use:

/qv reset

to restore the default settings.

QuickVendor is designed to make merchant automation convenient without making automatic selling reckless.

Unknown vendor values are rejected, exclusions are respected, guild repair is opt-in, and the Test Sell feature allows you to verify what would be sold before relying on automatic selling.
