Description
QOL by Teo
Small tools. Big convenience. No kitchen sink.
Author: TeoDaTank · Version: 2.2.0 · Slash: /qolt or /qolbyteo
Why this exists
I got tired of QOL packs that try to do everything. Half the options I never touch, and the settings feel like a second addon.
QOL by Teo is a small set of things I leave on: auto questing, a couple of Auction House helpers, a focus cast bar, and a light Housing Endeavor broker. Each piece has its own toggle. If you only want one of them, that is fine.
Version 2.0 gives the addon a real home. Type /qolt for a movable panel with left tabs and an Overview that turns modules on or off at a glance.
Questing
Auto Quest accepts and turns in quests when you talk to an NPC. That is most of it.
You can hold a modifier (or require one) so it does not fire at busy hubs until you want it to. You can also skip dailies, trivial quests, warband-completed quests, and quests that cost gold or currencies.
If there is an NPC you never want automated, right-click them and add them to the block list. You can review that list under Questing in options.
It does not try to pick the "best" quest reward for you. If a quest has multiple rewards, you still choose.
Economy
Always Current Expansion opens the Auction House and Crafting Orders with the Current Expansion filter already selected. Saves a few clicks every time you shop.
Craft Shopper shows reagents you still need for tracked profession recipes in a panel next to the Auction House. With Warband counting on, it also lists reagents you already have, split between inventory and warband, so you do not buy stuff sitting on another character.
It only looks at recipes you have tracked. It does not scan your whole profession book.
Cast Bars
Focus Cast Bar shows what your focus is casting. Turn it on under Cast Bars > Focus. Everything lives under that Enable checkbox: size, colors, fonts, textures, who the cast is aimed at, dungeon-only, raid allow list, and sound. A live preview sits at the top while you scroll the rest.
Want to move the bar on screen? Hit Position (Edit Mode). Edit Mode is just for dragging. If you are already in Edit Mode and want the settings again, use Open in QOL by Teo.
The bar goes bright when the cast can be interrupted and your kick is ready. It goes gray when it is shielded or your interrupt is on cooldown. Optional kick sound is off by default. Under Midnight, that sound can still fire when a cast is not interruptible, so leave it off if that is confusing. Pick a sound from a searchable list and preview it with the speaker icon.
Optional extras: shorten long spell names, show who your focus is targeting, SharedMedia fonts/textures/sounds if you use SharedMedia.
Only show in dungeons hides it in the open world. In raids you can use an allow list so it only appears for specific NPC IDs (bosses or adds you care about for kicks). Add them by right-click, by creature ID from WoWhead, or with the seasonal quick-add when it shows up.
Cast on You shows up to three nameplate casts aimed at you. Place the stack in Edit Mode. Optional: dungeons only, only when AMS / Spell Reflect is ready (DK / Warrior), and a sound when a cast targets you. Sound is off by default for the same Midnight reason. Not reliable in PvP yet, and Midnight secrets can still make it rough around the edges.
These are focused kick / personal-target helpers - not a full nameplate package.
Housing
Turn on Housing under /qolt to show a data broker with your active neighborhood Endeavor and its percent. Customize the broker text with placeholders if you like (%ShortNHoodName%, %Percentage%, %Icon%, and more).
When the bar hits 100%, it tells you to claim the completion chest in that neighborhood. If you already looted the box and the warn sticks around, type /qolt chestclaimed. Undo with /qolt chestclear.
If you own more than one house, the broker hides only when every owned neighborhood is done for the cycle (progress complete and chest claimed or dismissed). Open the Housing tab (/qolt housing) to switch which neighborhood is active.
This is a lightweight broker and reminder, not a full Endeavor task tracker.
Quick start
- Enable QOL by Teo.
- Type
/qoltto open the options panel. - On Overview, turn on Questing, Economy, Cast Bars, and/or Housing.
- Under Cast Bars > Focus, check Enable and tweak the preview. Use Position when you want to drag the bar. Cast on You still places in Edit Mode.
- Pin the Endeavor Tracking broker in your data broker display if you use one.
Tips
- Busy hub: hold your Auto Quest modifier until you are ready.
- Quest NPCs you want to handle yourself go on the block list.
- Raid kick targets go on the allow list. Everyone else stays off the bar if dungeon-only is on.
- Housing chest warn wrong after you claimed?
/qolt chestclaimed.
