Dynamic Profiles

Switch Edit Mode layout, UI scale, and AddOn sets when you change devices.

Why this exists

I play on a 4K PC, a Legion Go, a Steam Deck, those handhelds docked, and sometimes streamed to another screen.

Some of those setups report different resolutions, so "auto by resolution" is enough. The annoying case is when they do not. Docked handheld and desktop can both show up as the same 4K. The game cannot tell desk from couch.

I wanted named profiles (4kPC, 4KHandheld, Deck, and so on), each with its own Edit Mode layout, UI scale, and addon set, and a way to switch without digging through menus on a tiny screen.

That is Dynamic Profiles.

What it does

• Named profiles - more than one profile can share a resolution
• On-screen picker - tap to switch; move it in Edit Mode; works with a controller
• Edit Mode layout + UI scale applied with the profile
• AddOn Sets - which addons should be on for that setup
• Auto uses the profile marked for the current resolution; Manual sticks until you switch back
• Data broker for Titan Panel / Bazooka / similar bars (tested with Titan and Bazooka)

Auto is simple when resolutions differ. When two devices share a resolution, use the picker (or /dp use Profilename) once you are on that device. Auto alone cannot guess which 4K you mean.

AddOn Sets

A set is the list of addons that should be enabled for a profile. Applying a set turns those on and turns the rest off (Dynamic Profiles keeps itself protected in the in-game AddOn List). You get a reload prompt only when something actually changed.

New installs stay enabled until you deal with them (login prompt or AddOn Sets > New AddOns). If you dismiss without adding them to a set, the next profile load can disable them like anything else not in the set.

If you use BetterAddonList, Dynamic Profiles can use BAL's sets instead of duplicating that UI.

Quick start

1. Open Settings > AddOns > Dynamic Profiles.
2. Create AddOn Sets for each setup.
3. Create profiles (PC, Handheld, Deck, …).
4. On each profile: layout, scale, Pick Set.
5. Optionally mark one profile Automatic for this resolution.
6. Use the on-screen picker (or Activate in Settings) to switch.

Slash commands: /dp, /dp auto, /dp use 4kPC

Tips

• Name profiles for the screen you will read them on: 4kPC, 4KDock, Deck, Go.
• Keep handheld sets lighter; put desktop-only addons in the PC set.
• Shared 4K between PC and dock: switch with the picker when you sit down. Do not expect Auto to know.
• After a set change, reload when prompted.
