PSW Hunt for the Rares: Battle for Azeroth
**Battle for Azeroth expansion module for PSW Hunt for the Rares.**
Adds rare tracking, routing and legacy-content support across **Kul Tiras**, **Zandalar**, the Warfront regions and BFA's later outdoor patch zones.
---
## Battle for Azeroth Support
Current coverage includes:
- Tiragarde Sound, Drustvar and Stormsong Valley
- Zuldazar, Nazmir and Vol'dun
- Arathi Highlands and Darkshore Warfront regions
- Nazjatar
- Mechagon
- Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms assault content
The module includes expansion-specific rare definitions, map data, completion signals, routing and encounter guidance where supported.
---
## Hunt Mode
Supported rares can participate in HFTR's built-in **Hunt Mode** where the encounter lifecycle provides enough information to do so safely.
Hunt Mode can:
- guide you toward eligible remaining rares
- skip completed or unavailable targets when HFTR has a reliable signal
- use HFTR's built-in navigation arrow
- work without TomTom
- provide cave, patrol, summon and activation guidance
- handle multi-location and special-access encounters
Live detection remains authoritative whenever a supported rare is actually present.
---
## Battle for Azeroth Encounter Types
Battle for Azeroth uses a wide range of rare systems including Warfront control states, Mechagon visitors/constructions, rituals, patrols and assault-era encounters. HFTR keeps expansion-specific behavior where useful rather than reducing them to a generic spawn flag.
When a historical rotation or control cycle cannot be derived reliably on modern Retail, the module stays conservative rather than inventing availability.
---
## Legacy Accuracy
This is a legacy retrofit expansion module.
HFTR preserves reliable completion signals, current Retail map data and documented encounter mechanics wherever practical. Some historical rotations, phases or availability systems cannot always be reconstructed perfectly years later.
Where exact state is uncertain, HFTR uses conservative fallback behavior rather than inventing timers or availability rules. Live detection always takes priority over a historical prediction.

## Current Release Status
**Battle for Azeroth v0.1.2 is the current HFTR BFA release.**
The module spans all six launch zones plus Warfront, Nazjatar, Mechagon and 8.3 assault content, with supported mount relationships included in the data layer.
---
## Requirements
**Requires:**
- PSW Hunt for the Rares Core v0.15.1 or newer
This project is an expansion plugin and is not intended to run standalone.
