Profit Crafting

Profit Crafting is a World of Warcraft addon for Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms that finds profitable crafts for the current character.

It reads:

• your currently known profession recipes
• Auctionator buyout data
• vendor reagent costs
• vendor sell values for finished items

When you run /profitcraft, the addon opens a scrollable window and lists crafts where the expected sale value is higher than the material cost.

How it works

• Vendor-purchased reagents are priced at vendor cost.
• Non-vendor reagents are priced using Auctionator buyout pricing.
• Finished items compare Auctionator buyout against vendor sell value.
• The addon uses whichever sale route is worth more: AH or Vendor.
• Recipes with incomplete pricing are hidden.
• Results are sorted by raw profit.

Current scope

• current character only
• known recipes only
• cooldown crafts included
• average yield used for recipes with variable output
• extra-yield effects such as alchemy specialization are ignored for now

Requirements

• Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary client
• Auctionator installed and loaded
• recent Auctionator pricing data

Notes

• Open each relevant profession window once after login so WoW exposes the recipe data for this session.
• The addon warns when pricing data appears stale, though Auctionator freshness may not always be directly detectable.
• Enchanting is intentionally excluded in the current release.

Slash command

• /profitcraft - open the Profit Crafting window
