This is my first add-on. If you have any suggestions, problems, requests, or criticism, please leave a comment.
I am still in the process of adding more features.
PortalBook is a lightweight addon designed specifically for Mages, providing a clean, organized interface to access all Teleport and Portal spells in one convenient window.
So far, it is only intended for TBC (anniversary) 2.5.5 and Classic 1.15.8.
Key Features
- Dual-column layout: Left side shows Teleports, right side shows Portals – all faction-specific (Alliance/Horde)
- Smart spell detection: The buttons become clean when spells are learned. If a spell is learnable but not yet learned, it is red with the message “not learned yet.” If the spell cannot yet be learned, a level requirement is displayed.
- Clickable spell buttons: Direct casting with a click in the interface.
- Minimap button: Dragable, with tooltip and toggle functionality (/portalb slash command)
- Movable UI: Lock/unlock button to reposition the window and save position
- Full localization: German (deDE) and English (enUS) support
- Counter: Counter that increments by +1 with each teleportation or portal
- Settings:
- Display counter with reset button (Enabled by default)
- Only displays learned skills (Disabled by default)
- Interface closes automatically when casting (Disabled by default)
- Slider to adjust transparency of main window
Supported Spells
Alliance: Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, Exodar, Theramore, Shattrath
Horde: Orgrimmar, Undercity, Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon, Stonard, Shattrath
Usage
- Type
/portalbor click minimap button to toggle - Drag window when unlocked, click lock button to save position
- To make it even easier, you can create a macro that simply executes “/portalb” This allows you to call up the GUI via a button in the action bar.
Perfect for Mages who want quick portal/teleport access without cluttering their action bars!
