Phocus

Phocus is a lightweight World of Warcraft utility addon for players who want clear, immediate awareness of interrupts and focus targets. It places an interrupt icon beside your focus target's nameplate, follows your current class and specialization, and shows the ability's cooldown at a glance.

Core features

• Displays the interrupt tracked for your current specialization beside the focus target's nameplate.

• Shows a live cooldown countdown and applies a configurable tint while the interrupt is unavailable.
• Lets you customize the icon, including size, zoom, anchor points, offsets, frame strata, and frame level.
• Supports custom interrupt assignments for every supported class and specialization, with per-class restore defaults controls.
• Includes an icon browser that searches spell and item names, accepts icon file IDs, and can browse available macro icons.

Utility bar

Alongside the primary interrupt, Phocus can draw a second row of tracked abilities on the same nameplate, for the stuns, silences, and other utility you want to see next to your kick. Each icon is full colour when the ability is ready and dimmed with a countdown on it when it is not, the same as the interrupt icon.

The bar is attached to the interrupt icon by default and extends left from it, so the two move together. It can be pinned to the nameplate instead if you would rather it kept its own spot. Either way it takes a full set of anchor points and offsets, along with growth direction (left, centered, right, up, or down), icon size, zoom, spacing, cooldown decimals, cooldown tint, frame strata, and frame level, all separate from the interrupt icon's.

The abilities themselves are set per class and per specialization on the Utility Spells page. The list has no fixed cap. It grows a new slot as you fill the last one and closes up when you clear one. Abilities you have not learned are skipped rather than drawn empty, so a list can cover a talent you do not always take.

Focus and interrupt macros

Phocus can create and manage two optional Blizzard macros:

• Phocus Focus focuses your mouseover or current target, with optional raid marking, group pings, and chat announcements.
• Phocus Interrupt casts the interrupt tracked for your current specialization on your focus, with optional mouseover and target fallbacks, stop-casting, group pings, and chat announcements.

Macro settings are configurable from Phocus, and existing Phocus macros update when relevant settings, profiles, or specializations change. The focus macro can be written to the account or to the character that made it. The interrupt macro is always written to the character, since it casts your class's interrupt and an alt could not use it.

Macro announcements report an attempted action, not whether the spell successfully landed. Blizzard macro creation and editing are unavailable during combat and are deferred until combat ends when necessary.

Mythic+ marker timeline

In five-player Mythic and Mythic Keystone content, Phocus can display a pre-pull timeline showing the group's focus markers in marker order. Phocus users share their marker choices and fallback preferences so duplicate assignments can be resolved consistently, and the generated focus macro follows the resulting assignment.

The timeline can be configured with Mythic-only or broader dungeon visibility, pre-pull or during-key display, horizontal or vertical orientation, scale, icon and name sizes, name length, spacing, class colors, unmarked-player visibility, background opacity, and position. It can also be previewed and positioned outside a dungeon. Phocus uses its own group communication for this feature and does not directly read or set world raid markers.

Settings and profiles

Phocus provides a standalone in-game options window. Settings are grouped into collapsible categories down the left side:

• Display holds Phocus Nameplate and Mythic+, with Utility Bar nested under Phocus Nameplate.
• Interrupts holds Tracked Spells, Utility Spells, and Macros.
• Profiles holds Manage and Sharing.

Along the bottom of the sidebar are Settings and About. Settings covers window scale and background opacity, position reset, a performance monitor, and either a class-colored or custom accent color. About covers what Phocus does, the commands, and version information.

Profiles can be switched, created, copied, reset, exported, imported, and shared with group members. Incoming shared profiles require confirmation before they overwrite the active profile.

Commands

• /ph or /phocus toggles the Phocus options window.
• /ph icon or /ph icons opens the icon browser directly.

Important notes

Phocus shows the nameplate icon only when a focus target has a visible nameplate and the current specialization has an interrupt configured. It is designed as a focused PvE and dungeon utility that adds useful combat information without requiring a large replacement UI.
