Master Link Silently connects General chat across layers so you see zone messages from players on other layers, not just your own. What it does World of Warcraft splits zones into layers. General chat only reaches people on your layer, so a busy zone can feel empty and messages from the rest of the zone never appear. Master Link fixes that. When other players in your zone are also running the addon, their General messages are relayed to you and yours to them. Relayed lines look like normal General chat, with the channel tag and class-colored names, but in a pastel color you choose so you can tell them apart. Features
Cross-layer General chat relay Looks like native chat (channel prefix, class-colored names) Custom pastel color for relayed messages so they stand out Respects your ignore list Silent background operation — no announcements Hidden channel discovery plus friend and chat-based peer finding Graphical window (/ml) with peer list and activity log Optional minimap button (off by default, toggle in Interface → AddOns) Multi-version: Retail, Classic Era, TBC, Wrath, Cata, Mists, and Forever
How to use
Install and enable the addon. Type /ml to open the window. Pick a relay color (mint is the default). Leave it running. When other Master Link users are in your zone, their General messages appear in your chat.
The more people in a zone who run it, the more of the zone’s chat you see.
