Master Dialog

A wider, cleaner quest window for Retail and WoW Forever.

Master Dialog replaces the cramped default quest frame with a spacious two-pane layout. Quest text sits on the left, rewards on the right, so you can read the story and weigh your options at a glance without scrolling.

Features

• Two-pane layout - Quest text and rewards side by side in a wider window, on the accept, progress and completion screens.
• Synced parchment - The background parchment stays matched across both panes.
• Best-value highlight - When a quest offers a choice of rewards, the item with the highest vendor value (sell price x exact quantity) gets a gold glow. If several items tie, they all glow.
• Cleaner turn-ins - The empty reward area is hidden on the progress/turn-in screen.
• Clear money rewards - Gold, silver and copper amounts are shown as crisp coin-colored text with a soft shadow, and the experience reward matches them in your chosen font.
• In-window controls - A compact controls row lives right in the quest window:
  • Center - Center the window on screen.
  • Font - Pick the quest text font (supports LibSharedMedia-3.0 fonts when installed).
  • Contrast - Choose the parchment contrast, using the game's own Quest Text Contrast setting. Your choice is saved account-wide and reapplied at login.
  • Hover over any dropdown choice for a live preview before you commit.
  • Controls are disabled during combat for safety.
• Retail polish - The controls row aligns neatly to the left of the Warband completed notice, and the bottom buttons are centered on the bar.
• No settings page needed - Everything is changed on the fly from the quest window itself.
• Localized - The Center label is translated for all supported WoW client languages.

Compatibility

• World of Warcraft Retail (Interface 120105)
• WoW Forever (Interface 16001)

One codebase supports both game versions.

Designed for the default UI. Master Dialog is built for Blizzard's default interface. Other UI addons or interface replacements may conflict with it. If you run into a problem, please report it with the addons you use, and I'll see if it can be corrected.

Optional Dependencies

• LibSharedMedia-3.0 - adds any shared media fonts to the font dropdown.
