lj-farm-trade-v1.0.0.zip
What's new
Version 1.0.0 brings prices from your own auction scan, an item tooltip in blocks with an equipment comparison, bag marks, a tracking HUD for farm sessions, reworked screens and a much smoother window. Below are all changes since v0.1.2.
What's new in 1.0.0
Overview and window
- Dashboard: four tiles, "Important today" with the logged-in character first, and cards for gold, characters, material need and price signals.
- The main window behaves like the game's own windows: bags, character pane, auction house and windows of other addons come to the front when you click them, and a click on LJs Farm & Trade brings it back. Dialogs, lists and menus of the addon always stay above its main window.
- Double-click the title bar to minimize or restore the window. Minimized at the auction house, the head offers "Auctionator prices" and "Full scan".
- Side bar: what a number counts is marked on its page in your class colour, and the tooltip of a number names the counted items ("Sell 1: Linen Cloth").
- The market number in the side bar counts each buy recommendation for the character it is for and follows a new scan and changes to the watched characters; your class colour shows only for your own entries.
- Confirmations grow with their text (very long texts scroll) and no longer overlap their buttons. The action is on the right, Cancel on the left, and a × closes them.
Market and prices
- A full scan now keeps the lowest, median and highest offer of every item, and the cheapest offers of the items you watch.
- Median and highest ignore offers above 5 times the median; the highest is the price below which 90 % of the offered amount lies. A full scan with placeholder prices (offers of millions of gold) is kept: such offers are left out like outliers.
- Price history over 7 days and 13 weeks; "Ø 7 days" everywhere instead of the 30-day average.
- Items with a random suffix: the price of this variant from your scan and the stock per suffix below the total.
- The market page has a head with four tiles, and the watchlist shows full names. The market detail shows lowest · median · highest with age and source, Ø 7 days and the range of 13 weeks as tiles, a chart with axes over 7 days, 4 and 13 weeks and a table of the last 7 days.
- Buy for your characters: items your characters need whose offers are clearly below Ø 7 days (25 %, adjustable in Settings › Market) and clearly below what a vendor asks, with "Search" in the open auction house (you buy by hand).
- New section "Sell" above the watchlist with the free pieces, the price against Ø 7 days and "Search". The free stock is shared out once: the logged-in character first, then the largest stock, never more than is free.
- The character view of the market shows only that character's own buys and sells; the view of all characters shows everyone's, each row with a bar in the character's class colour and a "buy"/"sell" chip.
- Trade ledger: tiles, a filter strip and entries by day. "…" is now the button "Delete ledger …" and "Condense" is "Compact older entries (over 90 days)". The new switch "Combine same" shows the same bookings of a day as one row with summed quantity and net, the average unit price and the single bookings in the tooltip (display only).
- Creatures: filters, a "few data" chip and a loot table per creature.
- The market opens with the auction house (switch in Settings › Market).
Vendor prices
- Vendor buy prices count: for plans, "Buy needed" and the purchase value LJFT takes what a vendor asks unless the auction house is clearly cheaper (10 %, adjustable in Settings › Market). Vendors of the enemy faction don't count; vendors with limited stock are shown but don't count in sums. Your reputation discount at a vendor is included, once.
- A recipe that a vendor sells only at a reputation standing is priced at that standing in the level plan of that recipe only; the plan tooltip names the standing.
- Farm sources: the nearest vendor comes first with the mark "cheapest source" when it beats the auction house.
- Auction house: when you are about to buy trade goods a vendor sells for less, a small hint next to the purchase confirmation names the vendor, its place and distance and both prices. Single items such as gear get no hint. LJFT never touches the purchase itself.
Item tooltip
- The item tooltip is built in blocks Stock, Market and Need, each with a small title and a gap (both adjustable), with the equipment hint at the end. It is compact by default.
- Hold Shift for the details: stock per character with its suffix variants, all market values for the stack under the mouse (lowest, median, highest, other variants, history), the plans and goals behind the need and the compared item. The line "Shift: details" says when there is more.
- Shift switches between compact view and details as soon as the game refreshes the open tooltip (bags do so all the time); elsewhere the details show the next time you hover the item. LJFT no longer rebuilds the game's tooltip itself.
- Switch the lowest offer, the median and the highest on or off, each in its own row; the age names the source. Your tooltip blocks and market rows move once to the new default order with median and highest on; colours and other settings stay.
- A line "Buyable at vendor" with the price, apart from the vendor's sell price, which now reads "Vendor" instead of "Vendor (sell)".
- Soulbound and pick-up items show the vendor price and an estimated disenchant value (with Shift the possible results and whether you can disenchant) instead of auction and stock.
- A gold "Wishlist" line in every item tooltip, also on loot and rolls, for items on an own character's gear wishes.
- The best farm source of a needed material ("Farm: …"), the next two with Shift.
- LJFT lines are never larger than the game's tooltip text; long names are shortened instead of widening the tooltip.
- New tooltip settings: block titles, spacing, details only with Shift, the "Shift: details" line, disenchant value, wishlist, farm source, also good for, and a colour for the equipment hint label.
- Item tooltips are prepared in the background, so hovering stays fast, also right after the login and after a full scan: the stored scan is read in small steps, and the auction rows may appear a moment later.
Equipment hint
- For every piece of gear you can equip – armor, cloak, neck, rings, trinkets, weapons, shields, off-hand items, ranged weapons, wands, thrown weapons and relics, not shirts and tabards – a double line at the end of the tooltip compares the item for your logged-in character: character and spec on the left, on the right the result against the item you wear in the same slot ("+18 % vs. equipped") with a green up or red down arrow; "about the same" within 2 % in the normal colour.
- Comparison: "slot empty" or "equipped has no values"; rings and trinkets against the weaker one, bows, guns, crossbows, wands, thrown weapons and relics against the ranged slot. Armor counts per 10 points; weapons also show the DPS difference, a weapon without values only that ("equipped has no values · DPS …"). A two-hander is compared with the main hand plus half the off hand, and a one-hander counts against the weaker hand only if the character knows Dual Wield.
- In grey: "equipped" for the item itself; "not wearable (Mail)" for gear your character cannot wear or wield (armor type, weapon skill, Dual Wield for off-hand weapons); "not wearable (Mail from 40)" for mail or plate before level 40; "wearable from level 40" for gear of a higher level.
- With Shift the verdict "fits", "partly" or "does not fit": the average stat weight of the item's values for your class and spec (from 2 "fits", from 1 "partly"), for gear with a random suffix of the values the suffix adds. Spell school damage counts only for specs of that school, a resistance counts once, mana regeneration counts for classes that use mana. Items without rated values (e.g. only a use effect) get no line.
- The spec comes from your talents while leveling and from the raid spec of your profile at the maximum level, without a raid spec from the role in your profile (tank: Protection or Bear, healer: Holy or Restoration).
- A dimmed raid line rates the item for your raid spec from level 58 (adjustable, can be switched off), with paler colours; no raid line for gear you cannot wear.
- "Also good for" names your other characters for whom the item would be an improvement.
- In the auction overview the group row of an item whose variants your own full scan found reads "variants – open the offer".
Bags
- Bag marks: small symbols on the items in your bags and bank – the game's own upgrade arrow on upgrades for the logged-in character (rated like the equipment hint) and a gold coin on surplus worth selling; switch on an orange square for material your plans need (it stays on plan material that is already covered) and a gold star for wishlist items. Settings › Display › Bags.
- The upgrade arrow also shows for an empty equipment slot when the item has rated values (a weapon only has DPS when your character can wield it) and not before the required level.
- The marks follow the bag windows themselves: the Blizzard bags and bank, and Ellesmere UI through its item overlay interface – there the arrow sits at the bottom right and the other marks small at the top right, so item level, binding and stack count stay visible. Other bag addons can show them through a new LJFT interface.
- The marks are worked out in small steps, so opening the bags, logging in, changing a plan or looting stays smooth.
HUDs and farm session
- The mini HUD is now called "Farm goals HUD" (its title reads just "Farm goals"). Four small buttons in the title bar of the main window switch the HUDs on and off; the minimap menu has a "HUDs" submenu for the same.
- Farm goals HUD: long names and the line below stay on one line and end in "…", with the full line in the tooltip; names in item quality colour.
- The note HUD docks beside the farm goals HUD on the side with more room and the tracking HUD docks below it; they follow it. Drag one away to undock it; drag it back near its place (a green frame shows it) or use "Reset position" to dock it again. With the farm goals HUD switched off, the docked HUDs take its place.
- The HUDs no longer cover the auction house, the bags or the character pane.
- Farm session: the new tracking HUD starts with your first kill or loot and shows duration, value per hour and loot; unfolded also money, item value at auction and vendor, kills, herbs, ore, skinning and fishing per hour, the most valuable items, loot for your plans and goals and the zones. It starts folded on new installations, widens for long values and shows "–" for an item without a price.
- Kills are seen without looting (the experience line, the death of your target or mouseover in a fight), each kill once; the first kill starts the session and shows the HUD right away, also in combat. Only real loot counts (corpses, gathering, skinning, fishing), not quests, mail, vendors or the auction house.
- A session ends after 10 minutes without kills or loot (adjustable) or with Stop; Restart sets it to zero, and after Stop the next kill or loot starts a new session. The HUD hides itself when a session ends and returns with the next kill or loot; switched on from its button, it shows the last session in grey or "Ready" with "Start".
- × hides the tracking HUD only until the next /reload or login; switch it off for good in Settings › Display › Tracking HUD.
Gold
- Gold page: four tiles (Gold, Free to sell, Total needed with the missing gold below, Unpriced with a scan hint) and the next due gold goal as an info line; amounts stay on one line, and "+ ?" explains in its tooltip what is still unknown and how to get the price.
- Reputation goals: when a manual and an automatic goal of the same faction both have a turn-in, the gold need counts the turn-in items only once, for the higher goal.
Characters and talents
- Characters: tiles, a table with XP bars and role chips, play time by class; the overview with tiles, the important values of the role, hints with jump buttons, reputation bars and a skills table. The red squares before the names are gone.
- Character › Storage: the switch "List instead of slots" keeps its place; amounts are right-aligned.
- Talents: a character's spec follows the trees of the Forever talent window everywhere (character list, overview header, dashboard, equipment hint, alignment badge); talents that Forever moved to another tree, such as Improved Eviscerate to Combat, no longer count for their old Classic tree.
- With equal points in two trees the profile decides – the leveling spec, at the maximum level the raid spec – otherwise the tree with the deepest chosen talent; the alignment tooltip says how it was decided.
- Gear wishes: a one-hand weapon goes to the off hand only for characters that can dual-wield.
Plans and materials
- Plan detail: a progress bar with the trainer stages, four tiles (open need, farmable, buy needed, trainers & recipes) with the price sources in their tooltips, right-aligned tables; the plan list shows progress bars.
- The purchase value of missing materials comes from the cheapest offers of a fresh scan; hover it for the calculation.
- Materials: tiles for stock, goal, missing and free to sell, the need by plan as a table, the farm sources as a table with the faction letter and distance, the market as three tiles. A character's view lists only what concerns that character (own goals, own plans, own stock).
- An empty list says why (no materials yet, nothing for this character, or no match for the search or category) and offers the next step: "+ Material", "Show all characters" or "Reset filter"; the same for families. Items and Families switch as one segment, and family rows show the quality colour of their base material.
- Profession window: the LJFT button sits at the top right next to the item name as a narrow two-line "LJFT / track" and no longer covers "Track Recipe" or long recipe names.
- Expiring mail: letters with gold or items on all your characters that expire within a set number of days (default 3) show in Important today on the dashboard (one line per character), beside the tabs of the Mail page and, if you switch it on, as a chat line at login. Characters whose mailbox LJFT has not seen yet are named as unknown; cash-on-delivery letters don't count. Settings › Modules › Mail.
- Shift-click on an item in your bags puts it into the letter of the LJFT mail window; every LJFT item field takes shift-clicks.
- Mail › Inbox: the footer no longer cuts its texts; the closed state shows date and time in your format without seconds, and counts use your number format.
Notes
- Notes: pinned notes first, tasks with real check boxes, links as chips, a Remind card.
- The note HUD shows only notes marked "in the note HUD"; pinning only sorts the notebook. The note icon in the farm goals HUD still opens it; without notes it tells you how to add one.
- The note HUD has its own settings section: show, size, background, lock, reset position and content (open tasks only or everything). Undocked, it stays where you drag it by its title bar.
To verify
- Every zone where you kill a creature is a find site of its own, with its own position (the centre of your kills there), kills, finds and state. A point keeps the zone of the data file and counts only your kills there; nothing moves.
- One kill with a find confirms a point: a stored "Confirmed after 5 kills" (Settings › Planning) becomes 1, other values of your own stay.
- After the update all your earlier kills are checked once; after looting, once the fight is over, the list, the side bar count and the verify HUD update by themselves.
- New command
/ljft verify <ID or name>with the zone of the data file and the find sites of a point. - Corrected zones for Razormane Quilboar, Razormane Scout, Kolkar Drudge, Kolkar Outrunner, Armored Scorpid, Clattering Scorpid, Venomtail Scorpid and Elder Mottled Boar (Durotar), Venture Co. Supervisor, Bristleback Quilboar and Prairie Stalker (Mulgore), Kolkar Marauder, Kolkar Wrangler and Zhevra Runner (The Barrens), and Dalaran Apprentice, Mottled Worg, Ravenclaw Slave and Worg (Silverpine Forest); points with a position keep it.
Settings
- Settings › Display is one page with sections you can fold: Tooltip, Content and order, Equipment hint, Farm goals HUD, Note HUD, Verify HUD, Tracking HUD and Bags. A folded section shows a short summary, LJFT remembers which ones were open, and the tooltip preview stays on the right; it is rebuilt on every open and after a character change. The section "Equipment hint" has the switches, the level of the raid line and an example in the preview.
- One reload button in the head of the settings for all tabs.
- General, Planning, Market and Modules in cards with the explanations under the fields; Modules: switching a module on works at once.
- "Characters & backup" replaces Characters and Profiles & backup: Remove asks first, backup is Create and Restore with the date of the last backup. Profiles are automatic only (one per realm type and faction); creating, copying, renaming, deleting and /ljft profile are gone.
- Before every restore LJFT keeps the previous state of the profile; "Undo restore" in Characters & backup brings it back (only the last restore).
- Diagnostics: tiles, a filter and the messages of this version – red what to report, grey what concerns other addons, or "All fine".
- No lasting "Ready." any more: a message (saved, error) appears only when there is one and disappears after a few seconds.
- Settings › General: choose EU, ISO or US for dates and EU or US for numbers, independent of the game language, and money as coins (default) or as text (g/s/c), with a preview; no empty units ("15s 04c" instead of "0g 15s 04c", "1g 05c"). Chat lines always show money as text.
Performance
- The profession window no longer stutters while LJFT is open: the window refreshes once after a burst of changes, spreads heavy work over several frames and does nothing while minimized or closed.
- After loot, crafts or profession scans LJFT prepares its plan data in small steps over several frames, so large professions no longer cause a hitch. Level plan routes are computed several times faster (same result).
- With the LJFT window open, buy and sell advice and the market page are prepared in small steps after loot or price changes, so the side bar no longer causes a hitch.
- Refreshing the overview and the market head after gold, bag or price changes no longer stutters, and the character page no longer grows in memory when you switch characters or tabs.
- Less memory after a full scan, also after another addon's full scan (e.g. Auctionator).
