LastMount

Remembers your last used mount and resummons it with a single macro — with fallback mount and blacklist support.

LastMount

Automatically remembers your last used mount and resummons it with a single macro. No more random mount roulette — always get back on the mount you were just riding.

Setup

Create a macro with this single line:

/click LastMountButton

Drag it to your action bar. That's it — clicking it summons your last used mount, or dismounts if already mounted.

Features

  • Auto-tracking — detects your mount the moment you use it, no configuration needed
  • Flying & ground aware — remembers your last flying mount and last ground mount separately and summons the one that fits where you are
  • No-fly zone detection — knows about zones where the game falsely claims you can fly (Korthia, The Maw, Ritual Sites, and more) and correctly summons your ground mount there; mark any zone yourself with /lastmount nofly add
  • Fallback mount — set a default mount for when no last mount is recorded (e.g. after a fresh install)
  • Blacklist — prevent specific mounts from being tracked as your "last mount"
  • Options panel — configure everything from ESC > Options > AddOns > LastMount
  • Spell ID support — set fallback or blacklist entries by mount name or Wowhead spell ID

How It Works

When you mount up, LastMount saves that mount's ID — flying and ground mounts are remembered separately. When you use the macro, it checks whether the area actually allows flying — including zones and instanced content where the game's own API falsely reports flying as possible — and summons your last flying mount there, or your last ground mount everywhere else. If the matching slot is empty, it falls back to your configured fallback mount, then your last used mount of any type, then a random favorite.

Blacklisted mounts are ignored by the tracker, and blacklisting a mount also clears it from the remembered slots — useful if you occasionally use a mount you don't want as your default (e.g. a slow or situational mount).

Lightweight

Single Lua file, no libraries, no dependencies. Uses only LastMountDB saved variable.
