Koda Vendor (Forever)

Simple addon to sell things you no longer need!

Koda Forever Vendor

Leveling in WoW Forever fills your bags with old quest rewards, gear you've already replaced, and gray junk. Koda Forever Vendor sells it automatically when you open a vendor, using simple filters you control.

How it works

When you talk to any vendor, the addon checks your bags and sells gear that passes every filter you have turned on:

  • Item level
    • Lower than what I'm wearing (default) — sells gear that's worse than what you have equipped in that slot. If a slot is empty, like a free ring slot, the item is kept.
    • At or below a set item level — sells gear at or below a cap you set for each character.
    • Off — item level doesn't matter.
  • Quality — choose which qualities can be sold: Common (white), Uncommon (green), Rare (blue), Epic (purple). White and green are on by default.
  • Binding
    • Soulbound only (default) — quest rewards and gear already bound to you. BoE gear is kept for the Auction House.
    • Unbound only — BoE gear and world drops.
    • Both — binding doesn't matter.
  • Stats
    • Keep anything with secondary stats — protects gear with stats beyond Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intellect and Spirit, including "Equip:" effects and resistance gear.
    • Keep anything with stats I pick — tick the main and secondary stats you want. Picks are saved for each character, and each class starts with its main stats ticked.
  • Gray junk — sells every gray item, gear or not. On by default.

Built for enchanters

The addon checks whether each character knows Enchanting. On those characters you can choose to:

  • Keep gear I can disenchant (default) — green, blue and purple gear is kept. Gray junk and white gear still sell.
  • Don't auto-sell at all — nothing is sold on that character.
  • No special handling — enchanters sell like everyone else.

Set it once and it works on every enchanter on your account.

What it never sells

  • Items saved in an equipment set
  • Shirts, tabards and cosmetic items
  • Legendary and higher quality items
  • Items on your ignore list
  • Anything with no vendor value

Features

  • Options panel — every filter is a checkbox, dropdown or slider. Open it with /kfv, the addon button by the minimap, or Esc → Options → AddOns.
  • Preview — see exactly what would be sold before turning auto-sell on.
  • Sale log — every sold item is listed in chat with its item level and the item level you're wearing in that slot.
  • Lifetime totals — tracks your all-time sales for each character and for your whole account.
  • Ignore list — protect specific items from ever being sold.
  • Buyback warning — tells you when a sale is larger than the 12-item buyback limit.
  • Off by default — nothing is sold until you turn it on.

Getting started

  1. Install the addon and log in.
  2. Type /kfv to open the options.
  3. Choose your filters.
  4. Open a vendor and click Preview what would be sold.
  5. If the list looks right, turn on Auto-sell at vendors.

Chat commands

Command What it does
/kfv Open the options panel
/kfv on / /kfv off Turn auto-selling on or off
/kfv preview List what would be sold right now
/kfv status Show your current filters
/kfv totals Show lifetime sales
/kfv ignore [item] Never sell this item (shift-click it into chat)
/kfv unignore [item] Remove an item from the ignore list

Supported versions

  • WoW Forever
  • Retail (Midnight) — it loads, but it has no expansion protection. For Retail transmog runs, use Koda MogRun Vendor instead.

Notes

  • Some filters (rules) are shared across your account. Item level caps and stat picks are saved for each character.
  • "Equip:" effects are read from the item's tooltip, which currently works with the English game client only.
  • The vendor's buyback tab only holds your last 12 sales. Run Preview after changing your filters.

Any addons I have listed are simple QoL things I put together for myself. I figured having them public would be helpful for others, so enjoy!
