What's new

0.7-beta - priority, sharpened

  • Priority flagging now works in dungeons: when the game hides a spell's identity, KickBars can recognize the mob from its cast timing and flag your checked spells with the boost and stripe.
  • Priority matching is much sharper when following a Mythic Dungeon Tools route: the route's current pull tells KickBars which mobs it is looking at, so your checked spells get flagged sooner and more reliably.
  • New: turn the whole priority feature off with one switch - at the top of the Dungeon priority page, or with /kickbars priority. Off means bars sort and fade purely by category; your checked spells are kept for when you turn it back on.
  • The priority stripe is now yours to style: turn it off, recolor it, and set its width on the Visibility page - and it is twice as wide by default, so priority casts stand out at a glance.
  • A new Preview bars button on the Visibility page shows sample bars while you adjust colors, fading, and the stripe - no more typing /kickbars test.
  • A cleaner, modern font across the whole interface - settings, cast bars, and nameplate text.
  • The interrupt-cooldown countdown on cast bars now shows in dungeons whenever the cast can actually be interrupted - previously it stayed hidden on casts where the game restricts cast information.
  • Bars you cannot kick now visibly fade in dungeons too, while anything that might be one of your checked priority spells stays bright until KickBars knows for sure.
  • Reduced background work while the bar list is shown.

0.6-beta - keybinding and nameplate polish

  • Set your Kick and Mark keybinds right in the settings window - primary and secondary slots, live updates, and one-click clear, each on its own page - instead of digging through the game's Keybindings menu.
  • The interrupt icon, CC info, and nameplate glow now sit on the visible health bar with any nameplate addon (ElvUI, Plater, EllesmereUI) or default Blizzard, plus a nameplate preview and a one-click icon-position reset.
  • The kick icon now shows reliably on casters you can interrupt, even when the game hides the spell's ID.
  • The /kb command is now /kbars (it clashed with another addon); update any macros that used /kb.

0.5-beta - first public beta

First beta release. Core feature set is in place and ready for testing:

  • Live cast list on your nameplates, color-coded by action: kick it (green), stun the caster (orange), or survive it (purple), sorted with your priorities on top.
  • Cooldown line showing exactly when your interrupt returns relative to the cast finishing.
  • Nameplate glow that points at the cast to act on, with six styles and full color control.
  • Group interrupt-marker coordination, synced silently so no two players mark the same target.
  • Full per-dungeon spell list for the current season, split into interruptible and non-interruptible, with priority flagging.
  • Optional per-key damage estimates on spell tooltips.
  • Automatic interrupt detection for your class and spec, with a manual override.
  • Modern settings panel, opened from the game's AddOns options or /kickbars.

Feedback and bug reports are very welcome during beta. Please include your class and spec, and the dungeon and mob name if it is about a specific cast.
