Description
Fast battleground communication. One click. No typing.
Battleground Callouts is a lightweight PvP communication addon for Random Battlegrounds, Random Epic Battlegrounds, and Rated Solo Battlegrounds, built to get important information into Instance Chat without forcing you to stop fighting and type.
See enemies rotating toward your base? Need backup at an objective? Want everyone focusing the same target?
Click. Call it. Keep fighting.
Inspired by Battleground Buddy
Battleground Callouts was inspired by Battleground Buddy, an addon many PvPers used for quick, clickable battleground communication.
Battleground Buddy was last updated in 2024, and its simple concept was too useful to leave behind.
Battleground Callouts is our take on that idea for modern World of Warcraft: built from the ground up as a new addon, with expanded battleground support, per-map customization, modern WoW compatibility, extensive UI controls, and a focus on the way battleground PvP is played today.
Credit where it's due: Battleground Buddy helped inspire this addon.
Battleground Callouts takes that great idea and carries it forward.
Stop Typing. Start Calling.
Battlegrounds move fast.
Taking your hands off your abilities to type:
3 inc lumber mill
isn't particularly helpful when those three players are already trying to kill you.
Battleground Callouts gives you clickable access to common PvP communication such as:
- 1, 2, 3 and 4 Incoming
- BIG Incoming
- Incoming
- Clear
- Need Help
- Focus Target
- Battleground-specific objective calls
Callouts are sent to Instance Chat using WoW's secure button system, allowing the addon to work within modern Retail WoW's restrictions.
Callouts That Know Your Battleground
Battleground Callouts provides objective buttons designed around the battleground you're playing.
You aren't stuck with one giant generic list of locations.
Enter Arathi Basin, and you can have calls for locations such as Farm, Stables, Blacksmith, Lumber Mill and Gold Mine.
Jump into Isle of Conquest, and your objective calls change to match that battleground.
Current support covers a wide range of battlegrounds, including Arathi Basin, Warsong Gulch, Twin Peaks, Eye of the Storm, Battle for Gilneas, Deepwind Gorge, Deephaul Ravine, Seething Shore, Silvershard Mines, Temple of Kotmogu, Alterac Valley, Isle of Conquest, Wintergrasp, Ashran, Slayer's Rise, and more.
Make Every Battleground Your Own
This is where Battleground Callouts goes well beyond a basic callout bar.
Every supported battleground can have its own configuration.
Choose Regular Battleground or Epic Battleground, select the map, and you'll see the objective callouts available for that battleground.
For each map you can:
- View its default objective callouts
- Change individual button labels
- Write your own chat messages
- Reorder objective buttons
- Put your most important objectives first
- Restore that map to its defaults at any time
Your changes are saved independently for each battleground.
If you want Gold Mine first in Arathi Basin and Hangar first in Isle of Conquest, that's exactly how your frame can work.
Three Message Styles
Not everyone communicates the same way in a battleground.
Choose between three built-in styles.
Compact
3 INC - Lumber MillHELP - Lumber Mill
Standard
3 INC - Lumber MillNEED HELP - Lumber Mill
Verbose
3 incoming at Lumber Mill!Need help at Lumber Mill!
The Settings menu shows examples of each style so you know exactly what you're selecting.
Modifier Incoming Calls
The standard Incoming button can also become several callouts using modifier keys:
Shift + Click — 2 Incoming
Ctrl + Click — 3 Incoming
Alt + Click — BIG Incoming
That means you can reduce the number of dedicated Incoming buttons on your frame while keeping those calls immediately available.
Build the PvP Frame You Want
Battleground Callouts includes extensive customization because everyone's PvP UI is different.
Adjust options including:
- Frame scale
- Button size
- Button spacing
- Number of columns
- Frame padding
- Background opacity
- Border opacity
- Panel background color
- Frame border color
- Standard button color
- Battleground objective button color
- Button border color
- Button text color
- Hover/accent color
- Secondary text color
- Panel title
- Subtitle
- Status information
- Footer
- Objective visibility
- Individual core button visibility
- Frame position
- Frame locking
Don't want a title?
Remove it.
Don't need the status or footer?
Turn them off.
Want a tiny frame consisting almost entirely of callout buttons?
Build it that way.
Built for PvPers
Battleground Callouts isn't a strategy addon.
It's not going to tell you which base to attack, which objective is best, or how you should play the battleground.
You make those decisions.
Jibbs' Battleground Callouts simply makes communicating them faster.
See the rotation.
Hit the callout.
Get back to the fight.
Slash Commands

Lightweight by Design
Battleground Callouts isn't trying to become another massive PvP suite.
The goal is simple:
Give battleground players a fast, customizable way to communicate without stopping to type.
Battleground Buddy showed how useful that concept could be.
Jibbs' Battleground Callouts is our modern take on it.
