jajaTranslator

jajaTranslator is a Spanish ↔ English chat translator that works entirely in-game. WoW addons can't access the internet, so instead of Google Translate this ships its own built-in dictionary — ~2,600 words and ~840 phrases, curated specifically for how people actually talk in WoW: LFG spam, trade chat, dungeon callouts, buff requests, and everyday slang. It gives you the gist of a message instantly, without ever leaving the game.

Automatic translation

When someone speaks Spanish in say, yell, whispers, party, raid, guild, battlegrounds, or a numbered channel, a dimmed translation appears directly under their message:

No clicks needed. Toggle it off any time if you prefer chat untouched.

Translator window

Open with /jaja. Type or paste text, hit Translate, and flip direction between Spanish → English and English → Spanish with one click. The To Chat button drops your translation into the chat box ready to send — you always review and press Enter yourself. The window also collects the last 20 Spanish messages it detected: click any of them to load and translate, hover to see the full text.

The Dictionary button opens a searchable browser of everything the addon knows — type in Spanish or English (accents optional) and see live matches; click an entry to load it into the translator.

Built for actual gameplay

The dictionary covers the Spanish that matters in a group:

• LFG & trade — busco grupo, se busca tanque, falta uno, cuanto cuesta, se vende
• Combat callouts — tanquea al jefe, provoca al bicho, sal del fuego, esperen al tanque, no peguen todavía, calavera primero
• Raid marks — skull/calavera, cross/cruz, moon/luna, square/cuadrado, and the rest
• Real spell names from the Spanish client — a Spanish-speaking player asks for entereza, not "Fortitude"; jajaTranslator knows entereza, intelecto arcano, marca de lo salvaje, bendición de reyes, ansia de sangre, and the other commonly requested buffs
• Chat shorthand both ways — int, fort, motw, ss, porfa, jaja, xq, ntp, xd
• Regional slang from everywhere Spanish is spoken — que onda wey (Mexico), boludo/posta (Argentina), weon/cachai (Chile), mola/hostia (Spain), parce/chevere (Colombia/Venezuela) — plus the insults and profanity people actually fling in dungeons, translated straight

What to expect

This is word-and-phrase translation, not a fluent human translator — think "gets the point across," which is exactly what you need for necesito un sanador para mazmorra. Perfect grammar isn't the goal; playing together is. Found a message it garbled or missed? Report it in the comments and the dictionary grows.
