Improved Forever Unit Frames

Edit almost everything about WoW Forever's unit frames, and keep them looking like Forever.

Most unit frame addons replace the game's frames with a design of their own. Improved Forever Unit Frames does the opposite. It keeps Forever's bronze ring, its box and its bars, cut from the game's own art and rebuilt around whatever sizes you choose. Then it lets you change the parts the game keeps fixed. You start from the game's look and change only what you want, so even a heavily edited frame still looks like Forever.

What you can change

Bars

• Width, health bar height and power bar height. The bronze box is rebuilt around them.
• Texture: Forever's own, a plain one, or one from your other addons (shared media).
• Health colored by class or reaction, or the game's green.
• Size of the numbers on the bars.

Name

• In Forever's name box, above or under the bars, inside the health bar, or hidden.
• Remove the name box entirely, or set its height.
• Align it left, center or right, resize it, move it, and color it by class or reaction.

Portrait

• On either side of the bars.
• Forever's round ring, or a square frame made from the box's own bronze border.
• Resized and moved.

Level

• On a corner of the portrait, past the end of the bars, or inside the health bar.
• With or without its circle, resized and moved.

Dragons

• The game's elite, rare and boss dragons on your target, sized and placed as you like.
• Or pick one to always show on the player, target or focus frame, your own included.

Glows and auras

• The combat, resting and threat glows are redrawn for the new shape. You can also keep the game's own or turn them off.
• The target's buffs and debuffs follow the frame, and you can move them.

Every frame

Player, pet, target, target of target, focus, focus target and party: each has its own page, and each starts at Forever's own look. You can drag the target of target and focus target into place.

Party frames

• Forever's small frame art, with role and leader icons, the member's pet and its auras.
• Buffs and debuffs under the bars or outside the frame on either side, resized.
• Role icon size.
• Optional role order: tanks, healers, then damage.

Raid frames and raid-style party frames

Forever has no raid art of its own, so these frames borrow the small frames' bronze: a bronze border, the dark slot, a bronze line between health and power, and Forever's bar fill.

• Border on or off, with its thickness.
• Bar texture and background.
• Role icon, name and health text in any corner, any edge or the middle, each at its own size.
• Raid-style party frames can match the raid frames or have their own look.

Buffs and debuffs on these frames are drawn by the game and no addon can move them. Edit Mode's Aura Organization, Buff Size and Debuff Size settings do.

Cast bars

• Width and height of the player, target and focus cast bars.
• The target's and focus's bars resized and moved from where the game puts them.
• A countdown of the seconds left, inside the bar or after it, in the size you want.

Still Forever

• The game's own art: nothing is replaced with a new design. The ring, box, bars, glows and dragons all come from Forever's own textures.
• Edit Mode works as usual: move the frames there, and its outlines fit the new shapes.
• Clean when off: turn a frame off and the game's own frame comes back exactly as before.

Live preview

While the options window is open, sample frames show every change as you make it, with sample buffs and debuffs. When you're not in a group, a sample party and a sample raid appear where Edit Mode puts them. /ifuf test shows the samples without the window, to see them in play. They step aside in combat and in Edit Mode.

Profiles

Keep several looks as profiles and pick one per character. /ifuf export prints the settings you've changed, to share a look.

Made and tested on WoW Forever. It restyles the game's own frames, so turn off the unit frames of any other addon that replaces them.
