iddqd maps
Optional companion addon for iddqd app — provides high-quality boss-room background images for the in-game Visual Note canvas.
What it includes
69 boss-room backgrounds covering all TBC raids:
- Karazhan (13 maps): Attumen, Moroes, Maiden, Opera, Curator, Terestian, Aran, Netherspite, Chess, Malchezaar, Nightbane (with multiple angles for some bosses)
- Gruul's Lair (5 maps): High King Maulgar, Gruul (door / room / wide views)
- Magtheridon's Lair (1 map)
- Serpentshrine Cavern (12 maps): Hydross, Lurker Below, Leotheras, Karathress, Morogrim, Lady Vashj
- Tempest Keep (8 maps): Al'ar, Void Reaver, Solarian, Kael'thas
- Mount Hyjal (placeholder — to be added)
- Black Temple (19 maps): Naj'entus, Supremus, Akama, Teron Gorefiend, Gurtogg, Reliquary of Souls, Mother Shahraz, Illidari Council, Illidan
- Sunwell Plateau (11 maps): Kalecgos, Brutallus, Felmyst, Eredar Twins, M'uru, Kil'jaeden
How to use it
- Install iddqd app (the main addon — required)
- Install this addon
- In-game, open the iddqd panel → Raid Tools → Visual Note
- Click the map picker → pick a raid → pick a boss → the background appears, synced to your whole raid
The map you pick is broadcast to everyone in your raid who has the addon installed, so you all draw on the same canvas.
Why a separate addon?
The map images add up to ~40 MB. Most users don't need them — the core addon works fine without backgrounds (canvas defaults to a plain dark surface). This split keeps the core addon lightweight; you only download the maps if you want them.
Compatibility
- TBC Anniversary client (Interface 20505)
- Requires iddqd app (main addon) — install that first
