HideReporter
A lightweight, zero-bloat utility that automatically hides the stuck Issue Reporter button in the WoW Forever Beta / PTR (1.60.1) and gives you total control to toggle it back whenever you need to submit a bug.
The Problem
In the WoW Forever Beta client, Blizzard's Issue Reporter button frequently gets locked to the center-top of your screen, anchors onto anonymous parent layers, and refuses to disappear through default interface toggles. Simple /run Hide() scripts fail because the client’s internal layout manager constantly pulls the button back into view during combat, zoning, and interface reloads.
The Solution
HideReporter automatically isolates the button upon login or reload, unbinds its parent anchors, and moves it to a silent graveyard frame so it stays gone. Whenever you encounter an actual bug or want to file a report, click the minimap icon or use a slash command to bring the button right back—fully functional and interactive.
Features
- Automatic Suppression: Silences the stuck reporter button 1.5 seconds after login or reload—no setup required.
- Minimap Toggle: Left- or right-click the built-in minimap icon to instantly switch between hiding and unhiding the reporter.
- Non-Destructive Restoration: Caches the button's native dimensions, screen anchors, and mouse events so it restores cleanly without breaking Blizzard's bug submission flow.
- Ultra-Lightweight: Uses negligible memory, causes zero combat taint, and has no performance overhead.
Slash Commands
You can also toggle the button directly via chat macros or keybind shortcuts:
/hror/hidereporter— Toggle the button between hidden and unhidden./hr hide— Forcibly hide the issue reporter./hr show(or/hr unhide) — Bring the issue reporter back on screen.
