HelloFish

A lean, opinionated fishing helper for WoW Classic Era. It equips the best fishing pole in your bags, remembers and restores your weapons, manages lures, and lets you cast Fishing with a middle-click anywhere in the game — every action still requires your click.

Heads up — this is a personal work in progress. I build and adjust it as I use it, so features follow my own play style and may change between releases. Feedback is welcome, but HelloFish is intentionally focused rather than endlessly configurable.

What it does

• One-button fishing mode. Right-click the button to remember your current main-hand and off-hand, then equip the best fishing pole available in your bags. Right-click again to restore your weapons.
• Chooses your best pole. Arcanite, Nat Pagle’s, Big Iron and the other standard Classic Era poles are ranked automatically.
• Restores the right items. Full item links are remembered, so differently enchanted copies of the same weapon are not confused. The saved loadout survives /reload.
• Manages fishing lures. When the pole has no temporary enchant, left-click applies the strongest usable lure in your bags. Applying a lure always requires an explicit click.
• Middle-click to fish. While a fishing pole is equipped, middle-click anywhere to cast Fishing. The temporary mouse binding is removed when your weapons are restored.
• Shows the next action. The icon changes between pole, lure and Fishing states, with lure count and approximate remaining duration shown on the button.
• Compact and movable. The button is shown by default beside HelloWarrior’s default position. Unlock it to Shift-drag, adjust its scale, or move it wherever it fits your UI.
• Secure actions only. Pole, lure and cast actions use WoW’s secure action system. HelloFish never fishes automatically.

Usage

• Right-click — equip the best fishing pole or restore your saved weapons.
• Left-click — apply the best lure when needed; otherwise cast Fishing.
• Middle-click anywhere — cast Fishing while a pole is equipped.
• Shift-drag — move the button while it is unlocked.
• /hf — show or hide the button.
• /hf show|hide — set button visibility.
• /hf lock|unlock — lock or unlock its position.
• /hf config — open the settings panel.
• /hf resetpos — return the button to its default position.
• /hf reset — clear all HelloFish settings and reload the UI.
• Both the fishing action and pole toggle can also be assigned under Options → Keybindings → HelloFish.

Caveats

• Only supports WoW Classic Era.
• Uses the standard Classic Era pole and lure catalog; expansion and seasonal-only equipment is not included.
• Poles, lures and saved weapons must be in your carried bags. The bank is not searched.
• Restoring an empty weapon slot requires enough bag space to put the fishing pole away.
• Equipment and secure-binding changes cannot be performed during combat.
• Middle mouse button is temporarily claimed by HelloFish while a pole is equipped, then released when the pole is removed.
• No automatic bobber clicking, auto-looting, catch tracking or session statistics.
• Opinionated by design: one small settings panel, not a full profile-management suite.
