What's new

HealMeUp 1.22.0

Everything new since 1.15.0.

New

Setup wizard

  • The first time you play a healing spec that has no bindings yet, HealMeUp reads your spellbook and suggests click bindings:
    • Left-click: your main heal
    • Right-click: a heal over time
    • Shift + Left: a big heal
    • Shift + Right: your dispel
    • Ctrl + Left: a group heal
    • Ctrl + Right: a big cooldown (Pain Suppression, Ironbark, Life Cocoon...)
    • Middle button: a second heal over time (Lifebloom, Beacon of Light, Earth Shield...)
    • Alt + Left / Alt + Right: target and the unit menu
  • Mark each one Use or Skip, then click Bind. Everything you chose is set at once.
  • Keys you've already bound to something of your own start on Skip, so nothing of yours is replaced unless you choose it.
  • It only suggests spells you know, using the game's own spell names, so it works in any language.
  • It opens by itself once per healing spec. Damage specs that know a heal or two, such as Retribution or Shadow, aren't asked.
  • /hmu setup, or Setup wizard... on the Click-Cast page, opens it any time, in any spec.

Vehicles

  • When someone in your group gets into a vehicle you can heal, their button heals the vehicle.
  • The button shows the vehicle's health, incoming heals, shields and debuffs. It keeps the player's name, role icon and class colour, so you always know whose vehicle it is.
  • Spell bindings, the mouse wheel and hover keys all cast on the vehicle, in combat too, and smart resurrect doesn't get in the way.
  • When they get out, the button is theirs again.
  • A macro binding of your own still goes where the macro says (@mouseover is the player, not the vehicle).

Quick menu

  • Right-click the minimap button (or type /hmu menu) for the things you change between pulls:
    • Lock or unlock the frames.
    • Show or hide the raid tools bar.
    • Show or hide the Spotlight, or pick Spotlight players.
    • Switch profile: the one in use is lit. If you have more than eight, the last row opens the profile manager.
    • Settings and Help, at the bottom.
  • Click a row and it does its thing, then the menu closes. Escape closes it too.
  • /hmu menu works even with the minimap button hidden.

Corner editor (Settings > Corners)

  • Put the role icon, the raid marker and the missing-buff mark in any corner of a button, or right middle.
  • Icons that share a corner line up from the edge. A row of icons that starts in that corner (heals over time, debuffs, tracked buffs) begins after them, so nothing overlaps.
  • A picture of a button shows what sits where, and it changes as you choose.
  • An icon you've switched off takes no room.
  • The tracked-buffs row setting (top left or top right) has moved to this page.
  • Nothing moves until you change it: the defaults are where everything sat before.

Test mode

  • Type /hmu test 20 (or 5, or 40), or use the buttons on the Layout page, to see a made-up group where your frames are. It lets you lay the frames out while you're solo.
  • It uses your own layout: group panels or one list, button size, spacing, bar texture, font and role icons. A few made-up players are dead or out of range, so you can see how that looks too.
  • Change a setting or drag the handle and the test group follows.
  • /hmu test off, the End test button or entering combat ends it.
  • It's drawn on top of your real frames and doesn't take clicks, so your real frames are never touched.
  • It shows the group frames only, not the Pets, Tanks, Healers or Spotlight frames.

Player notes

  • Write a few words on a player's button: /hmu note Thrall tank 1 shows "tank 1" small at the top of Thrall's button. Use it for who kicks, who soaks, or who gets your Power Infusion.
  • Pick the player by name (Thrall or Thrall-Hyjal) or by unit (/hmu note target kicks).
  • /hmu note lists your notes, /hmu note Thrall shows one, and /hmu note Thrall clear removes it. A note can be up to 20 characters.
  • A note follows the player wherever they are in the group, and all your characters see it.
  • Where the game hides who a unit is, no note shows: HealMeUp never guesses.
  • To switch notes off, untick Show your notes on the Icons page.

Binding conflict checker

  • A hover key that's also one of your game key bindings, such as F on Action Button 6, casts HealMeUp's spell instead while the pointer is over a unit button. The same goes for the mouse wheel and camera zoom. HealMeUp now tells you:
    • when you bind the key,
    • in the key binder's list ("replaces Action Button 6"),
    • with /hmu keys,
    • in /hmu selftest.
  • That may be exactly what you want. If not, pick a free key.
  • Mouse buttons never count as conflicts.

Changed

  • Right-click on the minimap button now opens the quick menu. Help is in the quick menu. The addon compartment entry still opens Help on a right-click.
  • Profile manager: the text box at the bottom now has a label explaining what it's for: sharing profiles as text. Export puts the selected profile there for you to copy (Ctrl+C). To import a friend's profile, paste their text in (Ctrl+V), type a name in the Name box, and click Import as new.
  • Profile manager: the window is a little taller, so the status line at the bottom is never cut off.

Fixed

  • The manual and a tooltip said the missing-buff mark sits bottom right. It has always been top right.

Checked

  • Every spell ID the setup wizard and smart resurrect use was checked against the game's own 12.1.5 spell data. All are correct.
