Gnomish Pachinko
A word from Tinkmaster Overspark, Chief Engineer of Tinker Town
Well hello there! Tinkmaster Overspark, at your service. Pull up a crate and mind the sparks, because you're about to meet my finest invention: the Gnomish Pachinko Machine!
It fits right inside your game. Point with the mouse, click, and a polished steel ball goes rattling down through a board of pegs. Light up every orange peg and the board is yours. You get ten balls a level, so make them count!
What's inside the machine
400 levels across 40 chapters, every one of them somewhere in good old Azeroth. Dun Morogh, Elwynn, the Barrens, Silithus and the rest, each with its own painted board. No portals to strange new worlds. I'm an engineer, not a magician!
Four hosts, eight powers. I don't run the whole show myself. Each chapter one of us minds the machine, and when you hit a green peg you get that host's power:
- Me, Tinkmaster Overspark: Multiball, and my Super Guide (it shows you where the ball will bounce).
- High Tinker Mekkatorque: Space Blast and Chain Lightning.
- Razzle Sprysprocket: the Pyramid (a stone pyramid that kicks your ball back up) and Free Ball Frenzy.
- Bink: the Fireball and the Spooky Ball.
All sorts of puzzles:
- Eggs to hatch, sitting in little brick cradles. Knock the cradle out and the egg falls, so catch it!
- Gems to knock loose and drop off the bottom.
- Super Slides: rails of bricks that carry your ball all the way round.
- Balloons, bumpers, wheels, pendulums, keys and cages, and a few moving parts I'm especially proud of.
Fever! Light the last orange and the bottom turns into my five G-N-O-M-E vacuum tubes. Fill every one of them for a whopping bonus.
Duels with my brother. Cogwhistle. Don't get me started. Clear his board and he'll challenge you to a duel: five balls each, turn and turn about.
Bosses! Rogue machines from my own workshop: the Tin Drake, the Bolt Golem, the Gyro Spider, the Mechano-Boar and the Cog Yeti. Each one fights back in its own way. Light orange pegs to zap them, or hit them square for double damage.
Fair warning: the bosses are still a work in progress. They may change completely in a later version!
Getting started
- Type /pachinko to open the machine, or click the little minimap button.
- /pachinko levels opens the map. /pachinko sound, /pachinko music and /pachinko voice switch things on and off.
- Hold the right mouse button to zoom in and line up a tricky shot.
I'll walk you through the rest myself the first time round. Special balls, green pegs, the lot!
Got ideas?
New gnome hosts with new powers? New obstacles? New bosses for my workshop? Leave them in the comments here on CurseForge. I read every one. Well, Bink reads them to me. Same thing!
Now, enough chatter! Step right up, grab the lever, and give her a whirl. Off you go, and mind the sparks!
