Description
Glass Unit Frames
Liquid-glass unit frames for World of Warcraft: Forever: your player, pet, target, target of target (and its target), focus and focus target, in the glass look shared by the Glass addons. A streamlined take on Shadowed Unit Frames, with no party or raid frames (that's Glass Raid Frames).
Alpha: in daily use, but young. Please report anything odd.

Install it, then /reload: your Blizzard frames are replaced at once. Every setting is under
Esc > Options > AddOns > Glass Unit Frames, or /glass options.
Features
Seven frames in glass, each with the unit's name and health. The player, target, pet and focus add a power bar; the player, target and pet a 3D portrait (or 2D, or none, per frame); the target its level and classification. Left-click targets, right-click opens the menu, hovering shows the tooltip.
The look: Pearl glass by default, or Clean and Classic; a clear or smoked body; two fonts. With Glass UI installed, it can set the glass for every Glass addon at once.
On the frames:
- health and power text in a few formats per frame;
- a red segment for health just lost, and incoming heals on the player, target and focus;
- the target's buffs and debuffs in two rows under it;
- raid marks, leader, master looter, PvP, resting, AFK and your raid group number;
- neutral creatures turn red while they fight you or your group;
- combo points for rogues and cat-form druids, a mana strip for druids in bear or cat form;
- your hunter pet's happiness.
Cast bars for you, your target, focus and pet, in Quartz's style:
- spell icon, "Spell -> Target", remaining / total time and a spark;
- a green flash when a cast lands, a red one when it fails, and pushback (
+0.4); - a craft count (
Heavy Linen Bandage (3/5)) and one bar for a whole craft batch; - a red latency block on your own bar: roughly the end of the cast too late to cancel.
Keep each one on its frame, or detach it to drag, size, scale and colour it.
Combat zoom: in a fight, your cast bar and your target's glide above your frames and grow, then glide home after. Per bar, with your own spot and scale, and per role (Healer, Tank, DPS).
/>
For casters and fighters: a swing timer, the five-second rule on your mana bar, your next 2 seconds of mana regen, and a combat timer over your portrait.
Place everything: /glass unlock to drag frames and bars, nudge them with the arrows, snap
them to a grid, align them and mirror the player and target. /glass preview shows every frame
and bar with sample data, so you can set things up without a target or a fight.
With the other Glass addons:
- With Glass Raid Frames' centred raid layout, your frame and your target's sit just beside the
raid grid (
/glass link offto keep your own places). Your cast bars stay where you put them, lifted just clear of the grid if it would cover them. - Glass Action Bars' stance and pet bars follow your player and pet frames.
- Click-casting addons that use Clique's convention (Clique, Glass Raid Frames) bind the frames.
Good to know
- No party or raid frames: use Glass Raid Frames. Blizzard's party frames are left alone.
- The glass is painted: the game gives addons no blur, so it doesn't blur what's behind it.
- The numbers stay the game's: Forever hides many unit values from addons, so the frames hand them straight to the game. That's why the text has a few fixed formats and the target's auras can't be filtered: the game picks and sorts them.
- Some changes wait for combat to end: moving frames, a portrait set to none,
/glass reset. - Shaman totems don't show while Blizzard's frames are hidden: the game hides their details.
- Not yet checked in game: the combo points and the druid mana strip. Reports welcome.

/console scriptErrors 1 on, the error text helps a lot.
