GearCompare

GearCompare is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that makes inspecting another player faster and easier. Select a nearby player, click Compare beside their target portrait, and get a clear side-by-side view of their equipped gear and yours.

Features

• Compare equipped item level, primary attributes, armor, and secondary ratings provided by gear.
• Review all 16 combat equipment slots in a consistent layout.
• Spot upgrades and downgrades quickly with green and red differences.
• See your primary attributes and armor as gear contribution / character total.
• Hover over any item for its full tooltip or Shift-click it.
• Automatically retry inspections to recover items that were still loading.
• Open the selected player’s talents with View Talents.
• Retrieve their talent import string with Copy Build.
• No external libraries or dependencies.

Select a nearby player, click Compare, and review the stat summary and slot-by-slot comparison. The Difference column is always calculated as your character minus the selected player.

World of Warcraft does not expose another player’s complete effective attributes or final secondary-stat percentages. GearCompare therefore compares the statistics provided by equipped items on both sides instead of presenting estimates as exact values.
