UlatekTrinket

Keep your trinket ready state in sight

UlatekTrinket is a lightweight World of Warcraft Retail addon built specifically for Voracious Heart of Ula'tek (item ID 270175). While the trinket is equipped, the addon displays a configurable visual indicator during combat and hides it automatically when combat ends.

The indicator is informational only. It never activates the trinket or changes your action bars.

Features

• Tracks Voracious Heart of Ula'tek in either trinket slot.
• Appears automatically in combat and hides after combat.
• Choose whether the indicator remains visible with a countdown while the trinket is on cooldown, or disappears until the trinket is ready again.
• Uses Blizzard's native cooldown display.
• Includes a visual gallery with 24 texture presets.
• Includes three original transparent wing effects: Ethereal Wings, Star Wings, and Burst Wings.
• Supports square, circular, and rounded shapes.
• Adjustable width and height from 24 to 1024 pixels.
• Optional aspect-ratio locking for proportional resizing.
• Custom tint and opacity controls.
• Drag-to-move and corner resizing while unlocked.
• Supports custom WoW texture paths and FileData IDs.
• Saves settings separately for each character.
• No external dependencies.

Cooldown behavior

The Show icon while on cooldown setting provides two modes:

1. Enabled: the selected icon or texture remains visible after using the trinket, together with the cooldown swipe and numeric countdown.
2. Disabled: the entire indicator hides while the trinket is on cooldown and reappears automatically when it is ready.

Configuration

Type /utk or /ulatek outside combat to open the settings panel.

• /utk lock — lock the indicator.
• /utk unlock — unlock movement and resizing.
• /utk reset — restore the default settings.
• /utk status — print the current tracking status.
• /utk announce — print the addon availability message again.

Compatibility

• World of Warcraft Retail: Midnight 12.x.
• No libraries or other addons are required.
