GatherWise Databank – Remember Your Discoveries

Gather resources. Save their locations. Share your discoveries.

GatherWise Databank extends GatherWise Forever with a shared herb and mining location database. Record your own gathering spots, display them on the world map and minimap, and exchange discoveries with other players.

Requires GatherWise Forever. This companion addon does not work on its own.

🌿 Your Personal Gathering Database

• Automatic Recording – Save locations after successfully gathering herbs or mining ore. Simply passing a resource does not create a record.

• Shared Across Characters – Your characters on the same WoW account share one personal gathering database. Display preferences and resource filters remain separate for each character.

• Optional Wowhead Locations – Supplement your discoveries with the included Wowhead Forever datasets. Enable herb and mining locations independently.

🗺️ See What Matters to You

• World Map & Minimap Markers – Recognize recorded resources by their material artwork. Adjust icon size and opacity independently for each map.

• Subtle Nearby Indicators – Nearby minimap icons change into blue hollow rings, leaving the center clear for Blizzard’s yellow resource-tracking dots.

• Individual Resource Filters – Browse herbs and ore separately, search for specific resources and choose which locations appear.

• Integrated Map Controls – Toggle individual herbs and ores directly under “This Zone” in GatherWise’s foldout panel beside the world map.

• Custom Key Bindings – Assign shortcuts in GatherWise’s options to toggle world-map locations, minimap locations or both displays together.

🤝 Share Your Gathering Knowledge

• Text Import & Export – Copy and share gathering data with other players. Choose zones and professions for export; larger exports are divided into separate pages.

• Preview Before Importing – Review new, already known, invalid and unsupported locations before applying an import. Existing records are preserved.

• Personal Database Reset – Delete your own gathering records and text imports when you want a fresh start. The included Wowhead datasets and your GatherWise collection goals remain intact.

Manage Databank through the GatherWise options, using the same Blizzard-style interface as the main addon.

Spatial indexing, reusable markers and processing in small steps help reduce unnecessary work with larger databases.

Recorded locations are historical gathering spots, not live spawn indicators. Resources may already have been gathered, and the included source data may not cover every new or changed Forever resource.

No GatherMate2 or TomTom installation is required.
