GatherWise – Your Smart Gathering Companion for WoW Forever

Know what you can gather, where to find it, and whether your skill is high enough!

GatherWise is a gathering assistant for World of Warcraft: Forever, featuring an interface inspired by high elven designs.

Whether you're an Herbalist, Miner, or Fisherman, GatherWise helps you discover which resources may be found in your current zone and whether your character meets their gathering skill requirements.

Looking for cloth instead? GatherWise also provides zone-based cloth guidance with approximate enemy-level ranges.

🌿 Main Features

• Automatic Zone Detection – Automatically updates the gathering list when you enter another zone.

• Herbalism – Discover known herbs in your current zone and their gathering skill requirements.

• Mining – See which mining nodes may appear in your current zone and the skill required to gather them.

• Fishing – Explore known catches, fishing pools, and available minimum or recommended fishing skills.

• Skill-Based Colors – Green indicates sufficient profession skill. Red highlights missing skill or an unlearned profession. Unknown requirements remain neutral.

• Live Skill Tracking – Updates resource colors as your profession skill changes, including supported skill bonuses.

• Cloth Loot Guide – View possible cloth drops in your current zone, with approximate enemy-level ranges.

• Auctionator Integration – Hover over resources to see recorded Auction House prices with gold, silver, and copper coin icons.

• Profession Trainer Guide – Find Alliance, Horde, and neutral trainers, including zone names and coordinates.

• First Aid Trainers & Ranks – Find First Aid trainers, expert-book vendors, and information about Triage and later training.

• Dark & Light Themes – Enjoy the default dark design or switch to the original light theme. Changes apply immediately and your choice is saved.

• Flexible Windows – Move both windows, resize their width and height independently, and adjust each window's scale and opacity.

• Customizable Display – Enable or disable Herbalism, Mining, Fishing, and cloth information separately.

• Round Minimap Button – Quickly show or hide GatherWise, open settings, or reposition the button around your minimap.

• Multilingual Support – English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian, with automatic client-language detection and manual selection.

🗺️ Explore Azeroth

GatherWise includes its own gathering database for Azeroth, based on Classic gathering information and researched Forever additions.

Explore zones across the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, with Forever-specific additions where information is available.

The resource list updates automatically as you travel between zones.

GatherWise shows possible gathering resources, not currently active spawns or exact node locations.

Coverage of new and changed Forever zones is still developing. Missing data and unknown requirements are identified in the addon.

🧵 Cloth Loot Guidance

Looking for materials for bandages or tailoring?

GatherWise provides zone-based guidance for:

• Linen Cloth

• Wool Cloth

• Silk Cloth

• Mageweave Cloth

• Runecloth

Cloth entries show approximate enemy levels, not profession requirements or minimum player levels.

No gathering profession or First Aid skill is required to collect cloth.

The level ranges provide general orientation. They overlap, drops depend on the enemy, and Forever's loot tables may differ from Classic.

💰 Optional Auctionator Integration

Wondering whether an herb, ore, fish, or cloth is worth collecting?

If Auctionator is installed and has suitable price data, GatherWise displays the last recorded Auction House price per item directly in resource tooltips.

Prices use recognizable gold, silver, and copper coin icons. The age of the price data is also displayed when available.

Auctionator is completely optional. The gathering guide and trainer directory work without it.

📖 Profession Trainers & Guides

Not sure where to learn your next profession rank?

GatherWise includes a trainer directory for Herbalism, Mining, Fishing, and First Aid, with Alliance, Horde, and neutral locations.

Progression notes cover profession ranks, fishing books and quests, First Aid expert-book vendors, and Triage requirements.

First Aid is included in the trainer and rank directory.

🎨 Choose Your Style

A high elven look, with a theme that suits you.

The default Dark Theme combines dark panels with gold and arcane-blue details.

Prefer the original appearance? Select the Light Theme in the options.

Both windows can be moved and resized independently. Adjust their scale and opacity, toggle decorative borders, and choose which gathering categories appear.

Open GatherWise using its minimap button or these chat commands:

/gatherwise – Show or hide the gathering window.

/gatherwise options – Open settings and the profession trainer directory.

/gw – Short command to show or hide the gathering window.

/gw options – Short command to open settings.

/gw reset – Reset the window layout.
