The gathering map TBC Classic Anniversary deserves

Mining. Herbalism. All tracked, all on your map.

GatherSense pins gathering nodes and farming spots on your world map and minimap, and tells you not just where but how likely a node is up right now — instead of a flat "respawns in 15-20 min," you get something like:
73% likely up, based on 6 confirmed respawns on this exact node
Why trust the numbers?
Most gathering addons give you a static respawn window and call it a day. GatherSense actually learns every time a node is confirmed up or depleted, that observation feeds a small, transparent statistical model (a blended Gaussian, if you're curious, no black box, no magic). The more confirmations a node has, the more the model trusts real data over the generic estimate.
Core Features
- Live node tracking — ore and herb locations, pinned on map and minimap
- Respawn probability, not just a timer window: learns per-node from real player confirmations
- Manual reporting —
/gs up and /gs down to confirm a node's state in one keystroke
- Party/raid/guild sync — share live node confirmations with people you're playing with
- Lightweight — built to avoid loading unused libraries that conflict with other addons sharing the same library slots (like Questie)
Note: fishing pools are randomly placedp by the game itself, so they aren't (and can't meaningfully be) tracked as fixed nodes. Clothing and skinning are more like "camps" and no real tracking info is useful.
GatherSense focuses on what's actually predictable: mining and herbalism.

Turn your solo data into the community's map

The Companion app is a small, optional desktop program (Windows/macOS) that sits in the background while you play and quietly does the boring part for you:
- Reads your GatherSense data the moment you log out or
/reload
- Submits your new node confirmations to the community server every 5 minutes
- Fetches the latest community-wide data every 60 seconds and writes it straight into your addon. No manual downloads, no copy-pasting files
- Pauses automatically the moment WoW isn't running, so it's never doing anything you didn't ask for
The more people run it, the smarter everyone's map gets.
Every Companion user adds confirmed respawn samples to the shared model. A node with one or two confirmations is a rough guess. A node with a dozen confirmations from a dozen different players is a number you can actually plan a farming route around.
What data does the Companion actually send?
Exactly four things, taken only from GatherSense's own export table. Nothing else on your computer is touched:
- Node location, map ID, and resource type (ore/herb)
- Active or depleted status
- Respawn timing samples (up to 12 per node)
- Your realm name and faction
No character name, no GPS-precision tracking, no chat logs, no account information. Ever.
Just want the data, not the app?
Install GatherSense + GatherSense Community Data together and you'll get the full crowd-sourced node database. No Companion app required.
The catch: that data updates on its own periodic release schedule rather than live every minute, and you won't get the learned respawn-probability timers or node-health confirmations that the Companion keeps fresh in real time.
GatherSense. Built by gatherers, refined by data, never guessing.
