What's new

0.8.7: Warlock stones, six buffs for other players, and your pet's mood

Firestone and Spellstone for Warlocks. In WoW Forever both stones are used on the weapon, and the buff warning now watches them the way it watches a Shaman's imbue: an icon when neither is on your weapon or the one that is runs out, from the moment you can make one. Either stone is enough. It is on for every Warlock; untick "Firestone or Spellstone" in the Warlock block on the Buffs page if you do not use them.

Weapon buffs are recognized at first sight, on every client. The game itself reports how long an oil or a sharpening stone has left, and ForeverPlus now uses that to tell it apart from a poison, an imbue or a Warlock's stone on the same weapon. Nothing has to be applied a second time before it is recognized, whatever language your game is in.

Poisons of every rank are learned when you apply them. Where the game's own report cannot decide, ForeverPlus learns a weapon line from your cast, and this now works for every rank of every poison rather than only the first.

Every consumable you tick is watched. The setting "Only watch what lasts at least" is gone from the Consumables page.

Six more buffs you cast on other players, built like Thorns. Amplify Magic and Dampen Magic for Mages, Unending Breath and Detect Invisibility for Warlocks, Water Breathing and Water Walking for Shamans, all switched off at first. The tick on such a buff, Thorns included, now switches it on, and the rows under it say where it is tracked: on yourself, on a number of other players, or on your whole group. A Thorns setting that kept it on the tank only is carried over as it was. Amplify and Dampen Magic replace each other, so both start with "Track on yourself" off, and switching it on for one switches it off for the other.

Track a buff on your whole group or raid. Under Thorns and the six above, "Track on every group or raid member" asks for everybody near you instead of a number of players.

See what grays a setting out. Hovering a setting that another one has grayed out lights up the one responsible, on every page. A class buff whose kind is switched off under General is grayed out now as well, and points at that switch, and a page switched off on its tab points at the tab.

Hunters see when their pet is not happy. An icon appears while your pet is content rather than happy, with a red border once it is unhappy, so you know to feed it. Never in combat, and you can switch it off in the Hunter block on the Buffs page.

The minus button of a number keeps the number in view. Its hover text now opens to the left, so the value you are changing and the plus button stay readable while you click.

The pauses between chat sounds go in steps of one second. Both of them on the Chat page, the one for whispers and the other messages and the one for raid warnings, rather than in steps of ten.

Enough contrast on the info bar and in ForeverPlus's own tooltips. A color that would sink into a color scheme's background, such as the game's dark blue and purple for items or its red on the lighter schemes, is lightened just enough to read and keeps its hue. The dim small print of a few schemes reads more clearly as well. The game's own tooltips are left as they are.

An imported profile keeps the Gameplay page switched off. A profile exported while its Gameplay page was off came back with the page on.

The Info page links to CurseForge. Ideas and bug reports are welcome in the comments there, and the license terms now sit under a heading of their own rather than under the contact links.
